A guy at work that recently quit and needed money. He wouldn't sell his REAL good stuff though.

remmy topside.jpg

i beg my pard for the lighting and ****** pic...and my old dog didn't wanna cooperate this early in the mornin haha...

anyway, these things normally list at o'reilly's and what not for near 300 bucks...off amazon you can usually get em for around 200...since the box for this one was damaged, i got it for 152 bucks with free shipping...pretty damned awesome i think

Today's impulse purchases:

4x 9" SnappiHookers rubber tie down strap
2x 20" SnappiHookers rubber toe down strap
$4 caulking gun in blk/red :rocker:
$18 no name butterfly impact
Milton tire gauges and inflators

What's the opinion on those rubber tie downs for undercar work? I'm sick and tired of flimsy dollar store bungee cords for holdings brake calipers and axles (and losing them). Should I invest in a set of leather tie downs instead?

Where did you purchase your hard handles from?

I got them from my snap on driver. He also had orange and red hard handled screwdrivers.

He also has dark blue, orange, green, and red hared handled ratchets.

I found this today at the pawn shop near my house. The thing is literally brand new for $699. (normally about $1050) I posted it earlier in the pawn shop thread. I wasn't going to post it here since I think my boss is going to buy it from me tomorrow at work. But if not, I will gladly keep it for myself. It will go good with my 2 other brand new Stihl tools that I recently bought this spring. Lol

I picked these up from HJE on my way through Kansas City, MO a couple of days ago. Wilde 24" prybar, Wright 1/2" - 24" long breaker bar, and a couple of hook/pick sets...

Picked these up today at the local pawn shop for $10. 440, 426 and 350S. Didn't really need the 350S, not sure how they are best used, seem like a linemans pliers but with spring assisted opening? Either way, for $5 I wasn't going to pass them up, they are like brand new.

Good score. Even better if you flip it to your boss for some profit.

Husqvarna 150BT

Makes lawn care more enjoyable. I used hand held blower before and it just didn't have enough blow power (CFM and speed) and my arm gets fatigued after awhile of work. IT MAKES CLEANING UP MUCH FASTER!!!

If you have $600 to invest in lawn machines I would do this (assuming home in subdivision):

-$300 backpack blower
-$150 push mower (5hp w/o catch bag) (no need to buy Honda mower)
-$150 string trimmer

Go cheap on the mower and decent 2cycle string trimmer, but spend a lot of money on leaf blower.

I got one of those a month ago and it is awesome! I looked other brands and more expensive models but the 150bt was the best value out there. With the $50 off $250 coupon Northern Tool mails out I got it for $250. A similar Stihl I looked at was north of $450 and I have yet to find a job the Husqvarna cant handle.

That being said... A few days ago I bought a Stihl FS110 and a brush blade to go with it.

Put the blade on it and it works great on thick weeds. Had some 4-5' tall thistles, ragweeds, and johnson grass by gates and it cuts them like butter. However, the blade I got isnt great on denser saplings so I'll probably have to get a different blade to do that.

$250 for 150BT is a very good deal. Apparently Lowes had this blower on sale last year for $240.

I looked into three popular brands for comparisons and this old model 150BT (since 2008) was the best all around for me. The 150BT was tested and have ton positive reviews.

The Echo and Stihl in its class range were all new engine designs. I had my eyes on the Stihl and was willing to spend the money for high quality machine but the 150BT was the big winner overall!

2 snap on drill bits I needed along with a threaded sleeve for a driver set I got that was missing a sleeve. New scraper and a 3/8" ratchet fhlf80.
I am pulling the comfort grip off that and selling it for $5 bux if anyone is interested. It is red but in the pic it looks orange
I ordered a green one for it...that's the only reason. It's brand new
