Last but not least new snapon cordless ratchet and 19 piece long bit set. Also the 1/2 and 3/8 gun I got as a kit along with a flashlight/2 batteries/charger, along with the drill and the screwgun all about a month or so ago although I've used them hard and they look it. Truly loving the 2 guns. Cannot say enough about them. I'll try to post some pics of my work van once I get it All cleaned out and I got some plans for these power tools and their chargers mounting them up

I honestly wouldn't even worry about the 16x18 one...I have them all except the 16x18 and never been in the situation where I needed one

Craftsman locking pliers set. Was searching locally for a nice usa made set but found out it was a little harder to find than expected.

I was driving through a small town earlier today and noticed an ACE Hardware. I decided to stop in to see what they had for USA Craftsman stuff. Pretty much all wrenches and ratchets were foreign, but most of the sockets were NOS USA made.

I bought both sets for 41 bucks plus tax.

Tool envy.

They had those out at the Porsche school and I fell in love with them.

Got this today from hf to drill out a stud that someone else snapped in the head of a car. Turns out I had to pull the head anyways. Oh well.

Just got two pairs of these off woot.com. Knipex 26-200. They are amazing. I use them for a lot of things and will keep one in my truck now.

Got these off eBay a week or two ago. One of the best and most used tools I have. Knipex pliers through matco pc12, paa10, and pc7

Bought these of a coworker for 100 bucks. Metric 10-19.

Found these and they are a lifesaver for german cars.

Just got all these goodies from hje. All in all, I'm happy with what I got from them, though I wish I ordered more. Oh well, I can always place another order.

Couple of new arrivals today...

Milwauke M18 Fuel circ saw. REALLY excited about this one. Bought it sight unseen, but the reviews were all excellent. After handling it I'm excited about the purchase- it's a very high quality piece, and I've got a couple projects coming in the next few weeks to make good use of it.

Jonnesway metric t-bar ratcheting wrench set, which I was made aware of by this thread. Looks good in my barren wrench drawer- now I just need to get the SAE set to match. Going to try and track it down tomorrow.

And lastly, after endless searching, I found the pick set I've lusted after for quite some time. I had a set of red Snap-On picks with the soft grip non-instinct handles, and they were my favorite picks forever. They had a good life, and after breaking one and losing another, they were replaced with the green soft grip long pick set seen below. I always liked that handle style, and I was bummed when I learned they were NLA from Snap-On in the standard length. I finally found a set on Ebay and snatched them up. Got the mini tip screwdriver set and the torx set as a bonus. Now my pick/screwdriver drawer is nice and matchy matchy.

I have 4 of those small green picks... you have more now than me now.......

I love those handles. I wish they still made other tools with them.. it looks to me like the long pick set is the last new tool you can get direct from Snap-On with those grips. I'm sure they will go away too and get instinct-ified if they run out.

I was a little torn, as I had JUST purchased a green hard handle pick set and mini tip screwdriver set. I think I overpaid for those a bit, but they are brand new and in perfect shape. I've pretty much decided to just list them for what I paid and if no one wants them at that price, they'll stay. If I have two pick sets, might as well have 3 ha ha.

How is that set? I wanted to get it, but I could not find any reviews on it. Hard to pull the trigger on 100 dollars worth of tools when you know nothing about them.

Mainly I was wondering how the ratcheting mechanisms were, if they had plenty of teeth and can hold up to lots of force pushing, pulling etc

Amazon. Here is the link. I hate the way German cars (and some American ones) have wheel studs instead of lug nuts. This solves the problem of balancing a tire on your knee while zipping the last lug out or trying to hold the wheel on while trying to screw in the lug.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZNTCSG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

that's nice, I'll pass that on to my friend's shop. Much less expensive than the individual wheel hangers through the usual German parts places. I do carry one in my BMW... having learned the hard way trying to change a tire at the side of the road on my old VW without one, and with a busted rotor screw to boot, I won't be without one now!

It's a lot easier when the price is $43 :D
Mine came last night and I was too busy changing a vacuum line behind the hot intake manifold of our Volvo to even open the set.

It's a nice tool. It should make for a clean install for the project I'm working on. Kinda a shame that I'll probably only use it once or twice.

Always wanted to get one of these, picked this one up from the pawn shop for $5. Hopefully I can figure out how to use it properly and sharpen some bits.

Those things do work, but can take a lot of fussin' to get them set up right, and you have to be in the right frame of mind also!

I use mine occasionally, on a 1" belt sander and keep the pivot on the loose side. That way you can give it an extra boost on the back side and grind the relief. I have an actual manual for those if you'd like a copy.

But, before you waste a lot of time with it, you might want to look at this vid.

I haven't put it to hard use yet but from what I can tell the quality is decent. I'd say on par with GearWrench. Made in Taiwan. The only knock against this set is that the smaller sizes use largish wrench bodies, with a spacer to get from the large bore down to the ratchet mechanism. I don't know for sure if they are the exact same size through the whole set as I haven't measured. The 19mm is comparable in size to the head of a regular 19mm GearWrench ratcheting end so they aren't super clunky to begin with.

I kind of have the same question, how do you use them? Are they similar to a crows-foot wrench? Does anyone have a photo of one in action, for some reason I can't picture how to use them or when they are used in what kind of situation. Sorry for the multiple questions but i have always received great feedback from this group so please excuse :)

Yes, these are used exactly like a crows foot without having to reposition it. Or the t-handle can be used with crow feet that I already have, since I don't have a t-handle.

Try thinking about it this way.

If you have limited access for the ratchets swing arc, but plenty of narrow parallel room, this functions similar to the old two man saws, push/pull. With the flex adapter it allows the ratching portion to rotate back and forth beneath the plane of the drive handle.

Hope this helps.
