Replacing rear bearings and seals on my 97 4runner due to a leaking seal and also need to swap out the shoes. As such I received this kit that I ordered yesterday to help with the job. It's not Snap-On but it appears to be decent quality compared to the OEM China made stuff at the local auto parts stores.

Those look really nice. Thanks for the link.

Your welcome!

Yes they are very nice. They feel of good quality and I had never heard of the brand before, Old Forge? Had been looking for a set of this type of tool with the 'acetate handles' and happen to find this set. For me, there's nothing like good tools with good, nice looking acetate handle's that's for sure!

Price wise, well the site that I posted was the lowest price that I could find. Other places had them but at a starting price of around $35 bucks on up (not including shipping). This set, including shipping was $38 and change, not bad. One fool on ebay was asking for $40 for the set and $10 bucks shipping, **** that!

Yeah I saw their brake tool set but it was twice the price and this was a one time service job for me. I'm sure I'll be kicking myself one day for not stepping up but was trying to get the best tool for a reasonable value as compared to the China made stuff locally. I'll probably be regretting the decision in the long run though but only if these don't work now or if I ever find myself using them a lot. Oh well.

I did grab a set of those Old Forge door panel tools though. :)

From the MAC truck. Mini long reach pliers. PMLRBNA and PMLRNNA. COO is China, but I knew that before buying them. For China, these are made pretty well. Jaws and tips line up nice.

Heck I wasn't slamming you tx. The day I can afford top shelf specialty tools is the day I build a big barn :D

Thanks for the compliment but many of the automotive guys wouldn't even consider what I have as a starter set. I only work on my own cars (all metric) or motorcycles. Only real special tools needed for bikes is front fork tools, most other things there are work arounds.
Those new Torque Adaptors work nicely on rear suspension components of modern motorcycles.
I would hate to be a domestic auto tech and have to keep a full compliment of SAE tools as well "just in case" I sold my 67 Ford F100 over this past summer so I no longer have any use for SAE tools. My small collection of SAE stuff is mostly older Craftsman before I could swing the higher priced stuff.

Haven't used either one yet, but should be a timesaver/headache eliminator kind of tools.

How do you like those? Im on the fence about getting some.

Pretty OK....not ecstatic about them..... No detent in the drive hole, so could be prone to slipping off.....But good, considering the big name brands where twice as expensive for 1/4 the amount of tools, not to mention I didn't see them even offering the sizes as big.....also cheap enough I won't hesitate to weld one onto a chunk of steel tubing to make a special wrench out of it.

The Red Maglite is a 2d led pro with 274 lumens. I plan on having the Mac Tools logo engraved on it. The Black one is a mini-Maglite. I thought about having the snap on logo on their tools engaved on it. (Not for resale value!) And the Ryobi 18v + was my grandfather's who gave it to me since he is disabled. It is from 1999 to 2001 and the battery is from 2004 and still works well. The drill is a new one from a recall. And these tools are solid, even though they are Ryobis :).
