Yes it works awesome. This kit comes with 2 different plugs. A big one for trucks and a smaller one with stepped ridges for different sizes and shapes on cars. Works great on both.

Got a new mountain 1/4" die grinder. Puts my little Astro Pneumatic to shame in the power department. I love it.

Doing my office over and thought some cool snap on stuff would fit the theme. I got these big pliers and carpet....the giant ratchet is on the way too.

Thought I would try out the pliers wrench. And the side cuts because sometimes you just need a bigger pair.

I've never used a Mountain grinder, are they up there with IR/Sioux/etc..?

Couldn't tell you. I'm an IRaholic. Every single one of my air tools and battery powered tools besides a Mac ratchet and die grinders is an IR. But I've never used one of their die grinders.

I'm sure a good IR would blow the mountain out of the water. But I've never found anything I couldn't cut with one. Everyone in the shop has a mountain and I've borrowed multiple times.

Everyone else got theirs about 5 years ago and never had an issue. Plus it's $41 after taxes so you really can't go wrong.

Picked a few things up over the last couple of days.
Ernst low-profile screwdriver rack.
Knipex 9" snips. Picked this up at Sears for $9.99
Eastwood hammer set. I also grabbed this set from Sears was $19.99. 16 ounce and an 8 ounce COO on the hammers is Taiwan. I am happy with the fit and finish so far.

We were at Sears picking up a new dryer and I saw a deal that I could not afford to buy. Three ton jack, stands, and creeper on sale for 109.00, and I got a stool with it 40% off. With military discount It was only about 150.00... I have needed a jack for some time and was planing on getting one this winter but that was just too good to pass up.

Are the craftsman ones identical? Same build and metal quality as the knipex? Just rebranded correct

Thats a nice 1500$ investment. Lol
It was part of a package deal which gave me an extra discount above the student discount I was already getting.

I'm planning on trading it into a truck for credit and picking up other stuff I need and just buying a 3/4" set off of craigslist or a swap meet or something for a few hundred bucks. I don't use it enough to justify a snap-on 3/4" set.

Was going to post a pic. Got a 13-15 mm slim low torque spanner from Snap On and three 1/2" drive torx impact bits, t25, 30, and 40. Will post a pic when I find out how to.

Pay 30k for tech school and you can have a student discount! [emoji23]

thats why i chose a community college program rather than a for profit techincal school. 5k for the entire program and my credits transfer into actual college courses ;). snap-on, matco, mac, and sears student discounts included. school and tools already paid for.

We've had one in the shop about 2 months now; definitely a game changer and avoided many problems that would be caused by using the Blue wrench....:rocker:
Yeah I've borrowed one a few times. Really like them on truck suspension stuff. Really nice being able to heat stuff cherry red without starting bushings on fire, melting wires and air lines and burning everything else in sight lol.

Because they are awesome. When I had channel locks I avoided using them because I didn't like using them. The Cobras make me happy and I reach for them all the time.

No doubt I could've gone that route. I'm sure I would've been successful either way, however I would not have finished as soon as I did and I wouldn't have gotten my factory certs as fast as I did.

Whether or not my decision to go to UTI was one that everyone agrees with, I made the decision and I'm happy and successful [emoji2] .

If you aren't done yet then good luck to ya!

Have you talked to either Pete dealers you are going for about school tuition reimbursement? May make one worthwhile more than the other.

It's the same dealergroup so I doubt the benefits would vary.

I haven't asked about tuition reimbursement with this employer! Thanks for reminding me!
