I don't know how after so many decades working on engines, I have never tore into a small one.

My daughter's new-to-her house came with a number of gifted items from the couple who moved into a condo. One item was a lawn mower, that cut 1/2 their lawn before it went BANG, and wouldn't crank again.

Well, I tore into it and ordered a replacement connecting rod, burnished he crank and realized I'd need a small-engine valve spring compressor, and a flywheel puller to 'save' the engine.

Tools, more tools. :D

Not super high end, but good enough for what I do.

And, they fit my budget.

Got two ratchets, mini one is a 3/8 drive in a 1/4 inch body, got the headphones for buying those two, and the pink socks for a Xmas present.

This is kinda a tool for the garage! Paper towels everyone needs right??!!....but I figured some would get a kick

Apparently Brawny has been reading our forum and sees all the COO bitching so they solved that issue in big bold letters

So being the fact my tools are only used for side work and personal use I only really have one tool guy who I meet up with weekly or so and that is Snap On.
I have a good selection of hose picks but one thing that snap on doesn't make in them is a nice short nose 90* hose pick and I have always liked this little mac one I seen at a public sale that was part of a box lot but the lot went for sale way too high.
Well the other day I was driving about a 10 minutes from my house and went by a mac tool truck. I got the number off his truck and called him today and met with him to check it out. Pretty nice inside. Nowhere near as much stuff as my snap on guy has and I don't really have too much interest in a lot of future mac purposes.
I was honest with him and told him not to expect any big purchases from me and I have a toolbox I'm content with. I also told him I wasn't there to give him broken tools I had either. He seemed pretty cool and told me to get ahold of him whenever I need something.
I ended up buying a new version of that old pick from the 90s
This little guy will come in handy.

Jeepster425,

Do you have a part number on the 3/8 ratchet in the 1/4 drive body? If it is custom do you have a part number for the rebuild kit?

Finally got a little cantilever box. I've been wanting one of these since seeing some of the nicer ones you guys have. I was looking for months and couldn't find a decent used one so I broke down and got a cheap new China one (and it shows...oh well its a tool box not a work of art haha) Added in some white drawer liner and started stuffing in some stuff to see how it looks. I'll keep my eye out for a good one but this works in the meantime.

The white liner looks cool now, but aren't you you afraid it's going to get nasty looking as soon as you start to use it?

Not really. This is more of a frilly house box. So mostly light duty things like screwdrivers, pliers, maybe a hammer. I wanted something with a bit of style and really liked the visual aspect of these. I have other more heavy duty boxes and bags for the regular tools. Plus I have plenty of extra liner to re-do them as needed. It was only a few bucks for a big roll at Big Lots. It may be a bit girly but I like it

Well this is for sure not a you **** score, but it is a nice solid cherry picker made in the USA by Excalibur. Metal is thicker than the chinese ones. I am in it a little over 200 dollars with tax. I have had it on layaway for awhile, but just now got it out. Now if only I could find a decent used 13 mm wrench in this town. In the foreground is my truck's parking brake, not a new arrival though.

Mr. Funnel, bearing packing tool, and Craftsman 48 piece thread restorer kit.
Kit is on sale for about $40!!! I didn't have the patience to try to locate all of my Sears accounts and get them straightened out, so with tax and shipping, it was about $52 total delivered to my door. I can't wait to use them!
It's one those tools that you know you don't want to have to use but already know that it's going to be handy as all get out!

New free hat and 15/16 through 1 1/4 Combos. Can't believe the price on these. Perfectly fine wrenches for as often as they'll see use from me. 15/16 was 5.29, 1 inch and 1 1/16 was 6.49, 1 1/8 was 9.49,1 1/4 was 11.49.

over the last two weeks I've picked up some new ratchets
a t72, and f80 and a gf80 all in mint/new condition from ebay.

Love them for sure. I've had some other snap on ratchets for awhile but when I bought them they were still 36 tooth ratchets. I still love those and wouldn't sell them but I had to supplement my collection and move the old craftsman fully polished and raised panel ratchets out of the tool box. I may keep my fully polished ones just for banging around. The raised panel craftsmans were my dads anyway and I'm going to put a tool set together for him for christmas and get all his stuff organized in a new roller car. He's got stuff everywhere in the garage! lol. Also got a Wright 3/8s in a 1/4 body. Its nice, not sure if I'll ever use it but I saw someone had one here and had to have one for my box just in case.

Also got the HF underhood led light in the background today with my 20% off coupon

In the meantime I'm watching ebay for a TL72, FL80, S80a and an SL80a. That should hold me over for awhile as far as ratchets. I already have a comfort grip 1/2" ratchet, a super long flex head 1/2" ratchet/breaker, and a long handled comfort grip flex head 3/8's ratchet.

Edit: $36.75 directly from Snap-On lol.
