If you need a 8mm hex bit then you stick the 9mm end in the straight or ratcheting box end of a 9mm wrench and viceversa. Same principle applies to all the bits.:)

Where are those vim tools made i see them a lot

I am almost certain that they are Taiwan. Just for reference I replaced the rear brakes on a 08 VW Toaureg which has seriously the tightest caliper brackets or the worlds best loctite. I used a 24" breaker bar stepped down to 3/8 and it showed no signs of wear. A really awesome tool.

I got all my VIM tools through my Cornwell and Mac guys. They are Amazon quality for price and it's so handy having sets of stubby Torx and Hex. I use them pretty much every day working in a Saab Shop.

Christmas present for my dad. He owns a small construction company , I always have to bring home my impact from work when I work on his dump truck , loader. His old IR isn't strong enough for most of it now.

How much do those run? Look awesome albeit bigger than anything I'd want.

They are that size so that you can hang them under your hood and have nice evenly distributed light throughout the engine bay of your vehicle. They are incredibly useful.

Yes, I know why it is that size but I don't work as an auto tech and that would be too large to get into the enclosed areas I deal with in the plant.

Well then you probably have no use for it, kind of like I have no use for 1000V rated insulated wrenches, or ventilation equipment for enclosed areas, lol.

How long do those batteries last on those under hood lights? I love my $40 atd from amazon. I'm guilty of leaving it on while at lunch.

Can't tell what the hell is happening in the pictures but a few mangled teeth aren't the end of the world on them.

Just out of the box -ordered on Friday - Precision Instruments 3/4" torque wrench.

Nice  I find those "break down" 3/4's to be frustrating myself so I bought a Proto instead. They're just horribly clunky when you're under a truck trying to torque u-bolts...

Today's arrivals, Proto universal sockets (Were on sale on Amazon for just about 50% off), Starrett scribe and HD center punch, and a regulator for putting shop air to trailers.

I have that same work light.

A few years into it and I am very satisfied.
