I picked up this Performax metal shear from Menard's yesterday with the 15% bag sale. I'm planning on putting metal on the house garage ceiling this Spring so I figured it would work for that and maybe other garage work. I tested it out when I got home yesterday and it it didn't quite pass the test on some 22ga, so it went back for a refund.

I got the email from HF this morning for the 25% off Jan 1st sale. I decided to take a chance with the HF model and bought it after returning the other. Regular price, $59.99, on sale for $46.99 and then 25% off of that for $37.71 w/ tax. I'm not real fond of the HF stuff but this does have decent reviews so I'll give it a shot.

You'll also notice the Cman 4 piece router bit set. I needed the 1/4" round over bit for $22.99 and got the set for 7 bucks more. I figured the set was a no brainer.

Nuttsgt I bought one of the shears from harbor freight about a year ago. I have used it a lot on 18 gauge and it's a breeze. I have also not had to replace the blades at all yet so it should work well for your needs.

I have the same HF shear. Used it on my Mustang floors (14ga.) and it went through the metal like it was butter. I paid about the same as you IIRC, but I'm not using it in a pro manner. it did what I wanted it to do.

Keep the receipt on the shear. The only difference between the two is one is gray, the other is red.

That is beautiful. My co worker went to Canada I asked him to bring me a set like this but he said he couldn't find it in the store. He said he went to Canadian tire store and they had to order it. Is Gray Tool still made in Canada?

I've snapped so many of those blades I got sick of it. I got the Fuel shears and am going to try them out. Meanwhile, I'm hooked on nibblers over shears.

This box just came in to put all of my smaller more valuable hand tools for work. I can't bring my work truck home so I need something that I can load and unload everyday. At my work there is a big problem with tools walking off. I keep all of my large tools and not so much stolen tools locked down in the truck.

Picked this up. If you have a Bomgaars nearby, they are on clearance for $12.19.

Making room for their Irwin imports.

Yep all the hard line tools are Canadian made. Some things are going global like their pliers.

Ordering Gray Tools is always tricky, on their website you can order online but they'll ship orders to a local distributor in Canada.

I usually place my orders at a local truck service dealer.

Love Zoro... picked up some drill bits, welding gloves, a ladder and a Knipex bolt cutter.

Also, I am building some stuff with 3x3x.25 angle. The Hobart welding clamp I picked up, I knew as soon as I got it out of the package that it was going to be useless. Really weak, really bad build quality... and it's 9/16" high or so, so hard to shim.

Picked up two Bessey clamps to replace it. Pricey at many times the cost of the Hobart, but 16 lbs vs < 1 lb for the Hobart tells you a lot.

I have a breaker bar of unknown origin that uses that head. Think it's better than the opposite way ?

Were those wrenches not wrapped and just bouncing on the other tools during shipping?

No, they were wrapped up, figured they'd look better in a pic if I ditched the bubble wrap and bags though

Okay cool. Reason is I always see people posting pictures of new shiny stuff in boxes and I think man they gotta be all scratched up by now haha

Ha. Please post a review once you have used it.
I always think of myself as a skilled manual drill bit sharpener but sadly I usually end up ******* up the damn things.
As if often the case, it is very hard to make any sense of the Amazon reviews on this lil machine you got there.
