So why did you get that one over the regular tech angle? Was it the extra features on it or something else?

Picked up an autel maxidas, from harbor freight of all places. Using a 25% off coupon code you can get it shipped to your door for 875 which is by far the best deal out there. It also is the "North American" version with a Q in the serial number and had no issues updating it from the autel site. Was a little worried about that since HF isn't an authorized dealer according to autel.us. Now I just have to learn how to use this thing! Way more information then I have ever used with my cheap innova code reader.

Don't really see anything wrong with that....

Although I am curious how long it takes for the "Matco" ink to wear off, and the warranty to go with it.

Same thing happened to my snapon folding hex set.
Now it's just an Eklind set for 50% more money.

Hopefully this will work to buff out my Matco cart. Not real sure what I'm doing so this should be interesting. Knipex are from a Warehouse Deal.

Feel free to PM me with any questions. That stuff may work, depending on the machine you are using and what condition the cart is in.

I will need to do a quick video, because these ratchets are beyond description.

The mechanism is solid and consistent. Handles are bold and heavy. Good feel in the hand and finish is impeccable.

Just a different kind of ratchet and it's equitable to owning a piece of functioning art.

I'm glad I had the $50 Gift Card from a business associate, as it made buying them easier and minimized the risk.

Jason

Jason,

Thank you for your kind words about our Cobra Series 160 tooth ratchets. The part where you called them a "functioning piece of art" will make our engineers egos hard to contain for a while once they read it.

I ordered online. I didn't see any in my local store the last time I was in there. But that was a couple months ago so maybe they stock them now in stores? I had it in my cart online for a while and used a 25% off code so just ordered it. 6.99 for shipping. So far I'm vary happy with it but learning how to navigate all the menus and find what you're looking for is a challenge sometimes.

Got these in today. First NEW sk sockets I have had, and so far the seem pretty nice. Kinda wish the chrome on the 15mm went a little further in, but nonetheless nice sockets.

Yeah I have a whole box full of cat branded snap-on tools. It would be funny of me to think CAT did not source out hand tools and many other parts.

Them Channellock tools are absolutely beautiful.

Thank you, but I haven't had a chance to post them yet!:lol_hitti

The last couple days I've picked up a few new C-lock tools. The lineman pliers in particular are really nice in the hand.

Is that really what Matco does? Slap a brand on there on the other side of the witte stamping? Wow...

Fairly well known Witte makes picks and screwdrivers for Matco. They're made in the Witte facility in Germany for Matco then shipped over to be sold. No brand hiding and Witte is a quality company regardless. Would it shock you to know that Snap-On cross brands tools from Bahco, Irega, CDI etc...for its trucks at grossly inflated prices also? You can also include Irwin (extractors, drill bits, taps and dies), Wera (screwdrivers and bits), TPI (multimeters and accessories), PBT, Lisle, Schley (specialty tools) and too many other companies to name that have things rebranded under Snap-On and the rest of the trucks.

this is true...but, slowly, but surely, snapoff is buying up all the companies that supply it...they own williams, cdi, bahco, and i'm sure many others now

I happened across these things at Red Wing quite a few years ago. Doubled the life of my boots. I just replace these from time to time. My last boots went from two years to four. I am on year three with my current boots, and I just slapped on a new pair of toe protectors.
I replace the toe protectors once a year +/- for like twelve bucks ( I think )

I'd buy those stubbys off you if you don't want to make room for them ..

Do you think matco is the only brand that does that? WOW...

I know other brands do that, I just figured there would be a deal contract where the witte stamp was not included.

What's the price difference between oem and Matco for that pick set?
