I have that 1/4 set from Duralast and had to replace the ratchet as it failed within a few minutes of use. I bought the HF 1/4 ratchet and it fit in the slot nicely

Why did you replace a lifetime warranty tool with something else? Everything has a lemon in it.

Told myself I was ordering them just to "take a look" and see if I wanted them.... I tell myself alot of things instead of just admitting I want them and do not need to justify it.

In Australia the 440 alone can go for about $70 aud.

Picked this set up from Amazon for $42 aud delivered. ****** rip off in Australia.

Received today from eBay seller, another member listed he purchased the needle-nose pliers and when I looked at the sellers items I went a little crazy.
Also, the seller added 4 Proto industrial knives as a bonus!:rocker:

Those look sweet! Any performance feedback yet? I've been in awe lately since snagging a bunch of used Matco and SO screwdrivers at just how much better the quality is than the typical **** I've used historically. Love to hear how the Protos compare?

They'll warranty that ratchet with one of the good Taiwan ratchets from open stock.
They're the same part number, and 10x nicer than what comes in the kit.

Snap-on XDHFM606 0 degree metric box end set and SHLF80A long ratchet from the truck, SK fractional 1/2" drive set from HJE, Milbar 6" and 9" safety wire pliers and some Clecos from Aircraft Spruce.

I've been wanting that ratchet

Do I need it? Not really.

Will I end up with one? Probably.

If you have never used one before you will be pleasantly surprised. Mine is smoother than my dual 80's in 3/8" and 1/4" drives, which are still pretty smooth.

Sounds pretty nice! I put a little engine assembly lube in my other ones and it makes them super smooth

How much does it cost to rebuild?

The Proto screwdrivers/pliers (Made in Germany) will serve a specific purpose when I'm working in panels that I can't de-energize, so far with my gloves on they feel great and work well, without I'm not sure I'd like them but, they're not for that.
The Blackhawk by Proto pliers (Made in USA) will help a lot when I'm working on some tight spots under the hood of my cars.
The quality and pricing is great, the shipping and packaging was excellent, I'm very happy with the deal.

I've been looking for a torch set for a few months and decided today to make it happen. I picked this Victor set up at the local OE Meyer store.

Is that thing made for steel rivets? My stupid arrow rivet guns claim they can do steel rivets on the package but end up failing after about 50 steel ones are ran through

I was able to get a Bosch MX30E Oscillating tool that was a display, a bit scratched up for being out on display but never used.

It can do steel rivets, it's quite a solid piece of kit, but cost no more than one of the more expensive cheapo ones.

I've got one of those, I love it! Did you get a refurbished unit off of eBay?

I'm trying to decide between this one and the Rage 2. this one is obviously more versatile but I'm wondering if, with more moving parts if it'll remain as rigid as a chop saw with no slide or miter.

No, brand new, Amazon.
interested to hear of your experience with it.

Rage 3 dry cut saw

356b98225562d1261e4d2e6a5ec0e402.jpg

man, i like the saw, but it's got me on a bit of a rant. In 08 i bought a cheap miter saw and it has the same base, same slides as the rage. The only thing different is the motor and handle. I guess rage just buys a generic base with slide and plops a motor on it.

Hi fellow Canucks. FYI I saw the Rage 3 at Canadian tire this weekend and I also saw the Bosch sliding mitre saw. I guess they are distributing these products for now.

wow! when they go on sale, i'm sure the prices will be unbeatable. now if they would only get rid of dewalt and bring in milwaukee.

that's great news for sure. At the very least I'll be able to see an example up close. They're $100 more at CT than on Amazon so it'll have to be quite the sale price to beat them. Wonder if CT price matches online stores?
