Don't be a tease. Lay all of those tools out

I'll have to get another pic - that was after I made sure that they would all fit in the cheap-o bag that was included in the set (which I didn't think they would). Surprisingly, they did all fit. Three different hammers, three full 1/4, 1/2, 3/8 socket/wrench sets, torx set, oil filter wrenches, brake bleed wrench, pry bar, feeler guages, allen wrench set, ignition tester, thermometer, pliers, screwdrivers, vise grips, etc.

I'm assuming you bought that set off a truck. I looked online and it didn't list the set with the ratchets.

Is the truck the best place to buy new Snap On stuff? Do you get a better price than online from Snap On?

Yep they're running weekly promotions. There are some very good deals. I brought the same set. I hardly ever pay msrp on the truck. Anything I "want" I try to buy on promotion

I may pick up the video scope next week.

Just bought my second runyen bucket. Best grease/oil pump on the market. I used them all the time as an electrician in the coal mines, and they flat work. Made in USA since the early 1900's but most people have never heard of them. They are not that expensive either (less then a 100.00). Anyways here you go:

I use them for diff fluid and transmission fluid. Green one is 3 gallon, blue one is 5. Delivers 1/4lb of fluid a stroke, i.e. can fill a dana 60 in about 3 pumps.

So is it possible to just walk up to a truck and get the deals? I don't work in a garage, therefore don't gave a connection to a truck.

Scored these on Amazon a few days ago for $15. The price jumped right back up to $57 after I ordered them.
Urrea 1/2" drive, deep, 12 point.

Mexican tools are a first for me, but they seem pretty nice!
SAE tools marked with their exact metric size are another first for me too.
Not quite sure what the reasoning is behind that, but it's sort of neat.

I'll start looking out for more Urrea after seeing these.
Basically poor farm folk can't afford 2 sets of everything. You can get by just fine with a MM on SAE equipment. It isn't perfect but it dang sho werks.I only carry metric in my ride.
I do it when I'm too lazy to walk to the tool room. A lot of transitional stuff had a mix and the metric will do(in most cases). My buddy has a set of six point combo Urrea. Pretty decent stuff.I might grab a set. $75 or so. What the hell.

Yep. These promotions are set for 20 weeks. Each week is a new promotion. Our driver has them all out and you sign up for what you want. When week x rolls around you get whatever it is

Drivers are always willing to cut deals. Especially if you pay cash

Are the Snap On truck deals published anywhere? Or do I just need to find a local truck?

I don't think they're posted anywhere.... I've never seen them anyway. If you're looking for "truck deals" then yes, you need to find a truck. I don't believe the socket/ratchet deal that I posted in this thread is even available on their (SO) website. Truck only.

They call them BOGO as in Buy one Get one. They only seem to be on the truck. My dealer had 5 sets for sale. They normally <at least my dealer does> get them on Monday. So I have made it a practice to see him on Monday to be first in line for the deals. But most of the time the deals are for basic stuff or something they are pushing like the cordless battery powered tools.
They do come out with a monthly sheet of specials also which list some discounts and some new stuff. There is a nice welding cart with work surface that has caught my eye in the Feb one.
I often order stuff from him as it not normally stocked on the truck and since he has been a dealer for 30 years often he has discontinued items like a 9/16 and 14mm nutdrivers. Several times I have given him part numbers that he has never ordered, and we joke about he weird and different stuff I have. My last thing to order was SKF80A 1/2 flex stubby ratchet, he has never sold one.
Having a relationship with a dealer is not normally a bad thing, plus I need to fill my KRL1032e that finally got here yesterday.

From here:

Because of this thread:

And they look great, I haven't used them yet but for $90 shipped you can't beat the price.

I also got these guys:

Nice looking tool, I'm not familiar with them. Who sells these or do you buy direct? Can they be disassembled for cleaning?
Thanks,
Motoretro

I finally decided what to go with and the OTC press was the winner. I was deciding between that and the snap on bjp1.
$100 vs $700......yeah that pretty much made the call.
Yes these are USA made again!
$111.00 shipped to my house by ups. Only took 2 days from when I ordered it on amazon

Picked this up this morning at Canadian tire. Under 20$ OTD! Reg is 70 + Tax.

I'm not sure who makes them for Canadian tire, but this set looks a lot like the Matco set.

The snap on driver I deal with does not have any of the bogo deals you guys have shown. He has 12 weeks of deals but none seem that good. He looked at me like I had two heads when I asked about the other deals.

These showed up at NAPA this morning, a few more things come in next week and then I'm done buying tools for awhile. The 0 degree wrenches are really, really nice... :D
