I would appreciate feedback on the spring-clamp pliers. My dealer said there is a lifetime warranty on the cable.I was seriously thinking about buying those last week.

I have a pair of mayhews that keep breaking the cable and waiting on mac dealer to repair them for the fourth time.

I've been using a pair of those for probably a year now, work well  No problems with the cable.

Got a new pick set today. Yeah yeah yeah I know it's cheap china stuff but no more than I use something like this they will last two lifetimes. And for $1.72 after 20% off and no tax plus a free flashlight to boot I'm very pleased.

Do the handles feel bulky with the plastic grips ? Also do the pliers feel like good quality ?

Thanks

Not really, the the handles aren't any bigger than what you find on other pliers :dunno: They're pretty well made.

Husband, and wife team of reps. Guess they are to separate the routes, or deals, or something idk really.

As others have said seal removers, work well for installing valve retainers

Merb
Those seal spoons are some of my favourite tools. I use mine to disconnect stubborn electrical connectors, seems to work much better than a pocket screwdriver due to the bend. No more sore thumbs and engine swaps are much easier.

I've seen these on ebay even before I joined as a member here, finally bit the bullet.

Seem very nice and came with a small Proto Knife (made in USA), which was never mentioned.

I got to use them today, was a little disappointed that it wouldn't relief a radiator hose spring clamp enough to clear the lip.

I wonder if it's just the self-locking clamps themselves, hopefully it'll be fine on regular spring clamps??

Man you are killing me. I keep seeing these pop up in this thread and always want to order them, but I've already got an old set of Proto straight tips and a set of Klein bent nosed pliers. Still want them though! I could sure use the knife and the cutters though! I've seen all of his items for sale. I wish he sold just the cutters. The cutters normally go for about $36-$39 bucks by themselves. For that dudes price, it's better to just buy the set and have $10 bucks into each set of pliers. Awesome pics by the way.:bounce:

New Marvel combination pliers. I have a lot of different pliers including Knipex, Klein, Channellock, NWS & Wiha, but these honestly have the best machining & finish of them all (followed by wiha). I've used them for a few days now and they are top quality. They would be perfect if the handles were a bit better (and insulated).

After not being able to get the big circlip that holds the axle in out of a VW Beetle transaxle last night today I bought a new pair of circlip pliers. 225mm (9") Will, made in Germany.

The little Chincom ones, that replaced the good set I lost replacing a front hub on the side of the road after it collapsed, just weren't doing the job. I also bought the Koken 1/2" to 3/8" adapter.

Ingersoll Rand 114QGC with Chisel set and Mastercraft 3/8 air drill. Never thaught I'd get an air drill but I think it could come real handy.

Finally got a right/milling attachment, it's a Chinese made one but was less than a used right angle head by itself.
