I won a mint condition mg325 on ebay and got it yesterday in the mail. Holy hell this thing ripped off my lugnuts in my driveway like nothing. Feels like it has just as much snot as my mg725!!! For ovcasional use...do u guys like the mufflers on or off??





Also seen the MATCO dealer at a local shop today and picked up a 3/8 female to 1/2" male impact adapter and a 3/8 impact extension

Off of ebay and have'nt used it yet as it just showed up yesterday. Was just a little bit over $500 shipped. I was totally blown away by the price and jumped on it since used ones are going for the same price. Appearance wise it looks great is heavy as hell and looks well made, the only thing that screams chinese made is the box for the right angle drive. Cheap wood and the latch is on upside down, the long arbor and tailstock didn't even get a box. So with the new tool arrival I get a wood working project too.

Yes, electric/cordless drills heat up after a while, these run cool all day long as long as your compressor can keep up.

I cut my muffler foam stuff in half and run just 1 half of it... keeps it bearable but still powerful. I use it for a living though so noise level is pretty important to me.. if I just used it for hobby stuff I would probably go without the muffler.

Off, but I do not use it all day. The MG325 is the one air gun I think can hang with IR stuff, it is a beast!

Got these in the mail today 3/8" drive imperial allen sockets. I really needed them last week as my son and myself were trying to loosen the alternator off a March pulley and my Snap On sockets didn't fit. Doing the job with the cheap L shaped allen keys really *****. So I ordered this cheap set from the UK (eBay). Gonna have to email the seller as I found a few of the allen heads bent a bit.

Also got a set of step drill bits for drilling through the firewall of my truck. These will make the holes I made last month better rounded and hold a grommet better

Correct me if I'm wrong but the mufflers usually restrict the exhaust don't they? How does pulling the muffler make oiling easier?

Both my 715 and 325 run without a muffler, only time Im using air these days in a 3/8 or 1/2 gun is outside the garage, so noise is not an issue for me. Were I inside a building, Id use the muffler.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the mufflers usually restrict the exhaust don't they? How does pulling the muffler make oiling easier?

the muffler of a snap on gun is usually some kind of foam or mesh. when you take that foam out it air flows freely. so when you oil the tool, all the oil get blown out from the exhaust hole and gets trapped in the mesh. its easier to just remove the mesh or foam completely

Some recent buys from Cripe:

Kobalt USA (Armstrong) pebble finish metric combo wrench set. Already have the Kobalt 22mm and 24mm, and matching Armstrong 6mm.

Plastic cases I bought for my 1/4" impact sockets, but they didn't fit as well as the 3/8" impact sets. They work perfectly to just grab and go (with the M12 3/8" impact)

And also a big *** wrench roll pouch. Made in the USA, and currently holding some misc large wrenches (in the picture is 13/16" through 1-1/4")

Same here. I use my red HF wire strippers alongside these snap-on crimpers. Maybe my crimpers were bad out of the box but I could never get them to strip 18 gauge wire cleanly.

Not so long ago I went in my garage to do rear trailing arms on a 04 Subaru, busting out my air chisel to unjam some of the stuck bolts, turns out my cheap air hose I purchased 4 years ago dryrotted and my Stanley air hammer wasnt working. (thats what you get for buying cheap) Well at the time I didnt had much money and bought a 25$ air hose and got the Stanley kit on sale. My local Canadian Tire store knows me and gave me a new improoved Stsnley FATMAX air hammer, but I wanted something quality.

If you seen this thread this week, I posted a 114cqg Ingersoll Rand air hammer, decided I'll keep the FATMAX as backup so I bought a quick chisel connect to put on it. I was waiting to get more money to buy an actual good / long air hose with a reel. After reading on tgj I found out ppl here are dead sold to Flexzilla. Searching a bit on google I stumbled across the flexzilla blizzard test. Well idk if you are aware but I live in Montreal Qc Canada, we'v been stuck in a cold air depression and we'v been in the -15F for the past 3 months, I believe the hottest its been is around 10F. Watching the flexzilla cold test sold it to me instantly. I purchased the 50' with reel and a 2' whip hose for my brand new Ingersoll Rand thunder gun.

Since I sold some parts I had laying around I also ordered ATD hose pliers, the whole Hex/allen long and short sets, stud remover sockets , Gearwrench passtru and axle sliding hammer set, 10' retractable lead, 1/2" hansen trays, Sunex sparkplug flex socket set and a 25' cheap hose I will cut so I can put my Flexzilla reel closer to the working area away from the compressor.

Yes. I can't believe how well they consistently work for 5 bucks. At least for my hands they always seem to be in the right place when stripping wire. Every single pair I have has been extremely sharp and I don't notice them dulling.

I got the snap on ones during some horse trading and was excited but I always reach for the Harbor Freight ones.

Williams SAE and Metric Supercombo wrenches. Use them at work and they're my favorite.

The Chrome has a nice finish, haven't even seen them in person, my wife sent me this.

Snap on ratchets from Ebay and dad got me Cornwell sockets.

my Milwaukee collection, the 12v impact has been used for cedar fence and other small jobs, variable speed isn't that great.
all the lights come on instead of hammering slow.

And I don't use any of my multi function crimpers/stripers not my SO, not the ideal ones anymore... Just a personal use deal i guess. I prefer a dedicated Small profile pattern stripper with cutters in front of the pivot joint.
Now if my new stippers would just get here I could start using them......

Watching the flexzilla cold test sold it to me instantly.

The flexzilla hose is great love mine, both reel hose and extension line. BUT the reel itself is ****.... I fought with mine many times over the first few months and broke down took mine apart.. rounded all the sharp plastic edges, made new rollers with bearings and thrust washers, enlarged and rounded over the opening for the hose to move though.
NOW it works like it should have out of the box.
