I just got this proto set the other day. Got them from one of the members here. There very nice wrenches and definitely longer then the Mac knuckle savers there replacing. Can't wait to put them to work.

Do they have the ASD design?

Looking to buy a set of Proto's.

ASD is worthless. You're just buying a really nice set of Combos. If you care about open end torque get a design that works like Snap-On, Williams, Wright, Matco.

I've been waiting for these big 1/2 ratchets to go on promo for like a year and it never comes :( guess I'll have to just bite the bullet one of these days
Yeah they were asking like $259 for them regularly. My guy said $220 and I said SOLD!! the locking feature is great best ratchet I've ever bought I'll have to post a pic of my ratchet drawer monday

Who knows?
To each their own. Personally, I prefer the locking Matco, but I wouldn't pass on a long 1/2 Snap On if it came my way either. They're both really nice ratchets.

I love that light. I wasn't sure it would be anything more than just another LED light but that magnet is great and really strong and the light is a lot brighter than I expected. Really nice for under hood and under vehicle work

seen a few of them posted on here with good reviews and when I saw it on the truck today I figured I'd see what all the hype was about. Have to say I'm very impressed . great light pattern (no hot spot) and crazy bright. I also like the fact that there are no hooks or clips on it. the other ones I have have those and they seem to catch on everything. Just wish it was available in orange :willy_nil

If you're worried about the cost, you can try an Armstrong Maxx to get a feel for the action before you take the plunge on one of the Matco models. I just want a long, non-flex version of the Maxx ratchets. I may have to go with Matco for those.

Today's tool purchases were a big azz 1/2" drive flex head fine tooth ratchet and a set of race drivers. Picked up those prybars in the picture last week.

Got these yesterday. The small wrench is a Blue Point I got off eBay to complete a set. Picked the gear wrenches up at sears. The old lady bought (with her own money) a new washer and drier that she needed badly. So I got $61 in points! The big gearwrenches were on sale for $49.99 apiece for the sets, plus no tax and $61 in points equals $38.49 my cost for all of them.

Picked up few individual Craftsman made in USA impact sockets for my Milwaukee 2763. Still need to get few more but they were out of stock on other sizes I needed.

They threw this filing cabinet out yesterday at work, so I hauled it home, cleaned out the drawers and squeezed it into a tight spot in my garage.

I love free things

Got this LIDL brand shop vac last week, cheap and does it's job

Was at my local petrol station this morning and spoted this creeper (the red one on the right) on display. Price tag said 27 euros and grabbed it, the one on the left is 25+ years old and doesn't rolled as smooth as it used to

A few people were curious about this press so I thought I would post a few pictures now that its together. Its a Dake F-10, certainly not the biggest or most powerful press, but will suit my needs perfectly. Quality seems great, only drawback is the length of the pump. I have a nice corner to stick it in, but it certainly takes up more space then a bottle jack type of press. It came with the 2 plates and 2 adapters, 1 stepped, 1 flat.

Probably a simple thing that other presses have, but I personally haven't seen , but am very pleased about, the pins have roll pins in them so you cannot insert them too far or too little and have a pin fall out if you aren't paying attention. I thought it was a nice detail.

A few months ago I bought a tractor and a bunch of attachments to manage our new property, and the number of grease fittings is daunting. So here's a shiny new DeWalt grease gun to help make the job easier -- it's great! Arrived yesterday, used today.

1/2" drive metric Proto socket set
1/4" drive Williams SAE socket set
3/8" drive flat/phillips socket set
OTC hose removal tool
21mm surface drive plus wrench

Not too happy with the Gearwrench 21mm combo wrench. For starters, it was made in China and not Taiwan like everything else I've seen and bought from them. I've accepted Taiwan quality, but not China. But, even worse is that this was supposed to be a "Long" handle wrench. As you can see from it sitting next to a "standard" length Blue Point (same as Williams Taiwan wrenches) 19mm combo, it doesn't deserve that title. The Blue Point is 19mm and is about 11 inches long. The 21mm "Long" Gearwrench is about half an inch longer. Probably no longer than the Blue Point would be if it were 21mm.

I bought the SHLF80A slightly used on eBay last year. Someone mentioned in another thread that the long 1/2" seemed smoothest, and I agree. I have three new 3/8" Snap on dual 80 ratchets, and the long 1/2" puts them all to shame. It is the smoothest ratchet I have from 1/4" to 1".
