It's crazy how that's considered a steal, looks good though.

At this price, Its the same price as the Same set by Irwin. and I know Irwin makes em' for Mac & Snap On. But if you could have the Snap On at the same price, would you pass it? [emoji41] I was about to buy the irwin set online when I decided to go for one last look on kijiji / craigslist

Picked up the 86pc Maximum Tap and Die Set from Crappy Tire today, I bought the 42pc set a couple weeks back and sure enough this set came on sale (for the same darn price) this week so I did the exchange.

It's been an adjustment buying tools round this area vs at home. The guy working the sales floor had to bring the set up to the cash register for me after unlocking the shelving unit. Back home you can grab a compressor and walk up to the register no questions asked.

Welcome to Rexdale I guess.

New air hammer came in today :)

Very nice. I just picked up the same kit myself. I haven't had a chance to put it to the test but I've always had great luck with ingersoll air tools. I will also say that they have that kit online for considerably under $200. Of course then you have to pay for it all at once.

I wonder if I was to buy some of the yellow Williams hammers and some of the red Snap On ones, then leave them together in a drawer for a while, would they make green ones? I guess technically I would want blue Snap On hammers, but those are hard to find.

Lush fields..rolling hills..green....OH WAIT..Las
Woodstockva suckered me again. Ingersoll Rand 3/8 Mid Torque IQV20 pact Wrench kit. Told myself the brushless Metabo impact would be my last. After watching a few review bids I told myself since I sold my Mac 3/8 12v impact by dewalt.... I have a bunch of 3/8 impact sockets but no 3/8 impact to use them with. Figured I liked the other IR stuff i would pick this one up. So I found the best deal I could find for the 2 battery kit.. $280 with free 3-day shipping..got it in 2.

So far I dig it, haven't used it yet tho, just toyed with it and watched the extra big sparks the brand new bushes made. The motor is surprising huge in size... Might just be perspective tho. Well balanced, pretty good weight, perfect build quality.. Yadyada yada. No complaints.

Also finally settled for a oscilating multitool.. Had a makita but returned it cause it was real bulky and uncomfortable. Picked up a Milwaukee and really dig it.

Finally some random stuff like some adjustable craftsmen and lang snap ring piled, some makita bits. Also a knipex combo piled and linemens with comfort handle from woot. My first facom tool, insulated needle nose from eBay. Scored a open box craftsmen impact extraction sockets set for like 18 bucks, same set on ahelf was 60ish bucks..Almost redeems the fact Sears became a depressing traphouse... Not

Nice.I still don't have that set myself, keep saying I'm going to get it but I always end up buying some other Mastercraft/Mastercraft Maximum tool (try budgeting myself to 1 new tool per week)
As for the tools being locked up,most CT stores are that way.The CT stores in my area know me by name so when the sales person gets the tool out, they just hand me it to take to the cash on my own or continue to shop with it.

I have been looking at a similar GearWrench set on Amazon, but noticed this one is a few dollars cheaper. From your pictures it looks to be good quality and as both are coming from Taiwan, I'm definitely thinking about going with the OTC. I can't believe how much more expensive the 10-way OTC puller is than the 9-way.

Send it back

Buy M18 2763

..

Profit

(in all honesty I sold my Snap On one and have been much happier with the Milwaukee, nice price regardless though!)

:lol_hitti

Yeah I'll try it out for awhile and if I don't like it I'll return it or sell for profit. I wanted the Milwaukee or the IR. I only bought this because I can make payments, short on $$ right now.

That otc is nice but I hate how they sell directly on amazon for almost what our supplier buys them for!!! Utterly ridiculous.

Amazon either sources from illegitimate channels or buys in such large quantities that they can price many items at or below the cost of a small independent dealer. I've seen it quite a bit too. If its not at cost its not much higher. Then people scoff at the little guy trying to make a reasonable profit and ask for price matching.

Likewise they can afford to make little or no profit and not be effected because they move such a volume of other products that it doesn't matter. All big box/mass retailers operate this way, its why most of the little guys have been put out of business.

Ok I gotcha. Yeah I seldom order from amazon because I like to support small business's and local people. I would much rather pay a little more and support someone local.
In this case I already checked tho and the price markup on this item particularly was insane through snap-on through their supplemental catalog. Other than that there was nobody local to get it through
