I'd stick with air drills. Metal shavings will stick to the cordless, plus drills don't run long on batteries and they will heat up.
Cordless drills, while very convenient, is not the ideal tool for auto/truck repairs. Carpentry and masonry? They're perfect.
I had forgotten about that, you're right... My air drill has done me no wrong.

Did you really just talk another man out of buying another tool?
At 200 in-lbs for the small drills, you will be sorely dissapointed trying to drill a hole bigger than 1/8" or so. My small matco drill has about the same amount of torque, and the only thing I use it for is with my low profile right angle attatchment. Same with coworkers makita.

I just got a box of old tools from my fiances grandfather as they just went into a home and the house was sold. Her brother has no interest in tools and her dad said he had what he needed so I was asked if I wanted them. There is a lot more supposidly yet.
This cardboard box has mostly old craftsman and plomb? Also has 2 large snap on sockets. These snap on sockets are super old!! The date codes on the two date to 1947 and 1948!!

I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'deal' at $430ish lol. I wanted the ratchet for my home garage, and the sockets will fill in some holes in my Hanson trays at work, so I brought my old sockets and the ratchet home.

I just paid $350 for those sockets, made him throw in the 10mm too. I searched ebay and the damn metrics hold their value. I would have gladly paid $430 and gotten the ratchet free. I did however find the SAE set on ebay, got new shallow and deep for $316 shipped.
I got a bk-8000 uv light add on for my digital wireless video scope yes it's snap-on

Are there any reviews on these? I've been wanting the matcos, but Damm 400 for just 1 set and I won't use them enough to pay for themselves.

I have this exact set. Its the same as other brands such as, Mountain or EZ Red. They are awesome. Forget the Matco ones. These run about $140-200 depending on where you buy.
I cant praise these wrenches enough. I will admit, Ive broken one once, but its lifetime warranty so it was replaced no problem.

i have both matco ones and EZ red ones. both have their places as a mechanic. i tend to use the matco ones first because i know they can handle the added torque to break bolts loose as the EZ RED/mountain ones you fear to you will break it. ive had it happen to 3 14mm ones already. i know its lifetime warranty but my dealer takes forever to replace them. my matco ones have never failed me yet and ive own the set since it first came out. The main reason why the matco ones wont fail is because its not reverse gear like the EZ reds where you flip the button to change directions. the matco ones you just flip over to tighten or to loosen. also when your working fast ratcheting the EZ red ones will tend to switch directions on you for no reason or maybe you hit the button on accident. it gets irritating. Hence why i have always used my matco ones first. The EZ red with the lip is great as well when i need that shallow access only this tool can get. i even have the matco double flex set as well but ive only used that a handle full of times.

right angle drill and bits were bogo off the mac truck, flex polisher is for home for weekend details and just got impact over the weekend but it matches the drill so nice, i had to get them in the same pic lol
your going love the FLEX ive had mines since it came out. and just this past week my backing plate broke i ordered the smaller 4.25inch plate instead of the standard 5inch plate.

I was actually talking about the bottle opener though haha.
That is the reason I haven't bought any of the other wrenches, I'm always willing to save money, but my dad tells me to take care of my knuckles with good quality tools..he does use his tools daily as a diesel mechanic..
The matcos that I want are actually the double box with zero degree and flex head ratchet on the other end.

I had to buy the stubby ⅜" hex because the regular length one kept getting me into trouble while doing my brakes. Now I should have no problem. I got the hammers, well, because they are green.
