first of a few new deliveries coming in today! i've had enough fun with the cheap spot weld drill bits and i have quite a few spot welds that will be needing to be drilled out in the very near future. i've never heard anything bad about Blair, so if i end up liking these, i'll probably end up with one of their larger sets soon.

It's not here yet, but I snagged an SK 47170 3/4" drive ratchet for $49.05 shipped. I feel pretty good since that's like 1/3 of what they go for. Next paycheck I'll probably pick up a socket set for it.

On a side note, does anyone know the tooth count for that particular ratchet? I can't find it anywhere.

You'll love 'em! I've been using them for nearly 20 years (when did they first come out? 97?). Even for some crazy stuff like drilling truck frames in a pinch.
Very often do 1/4" thick -- Punch holes in steel in seconds!

Me too! Ive been drooling over them for a couple years since seeing the ad in Hot Rod or old skool deluxe, but I just dont usually do much spot weld drilling to justify the kit, ive always used either the cheap eastwood bits or a carbide bit in a die grinder. The quality seems very high, made in the US and very happy with the price, and the fullsize kit really isnt too bad if they work as well as they say!

I also bought about $60 worth of side grip clecos from Aircraft Spruce. I really like these and for $1.50 a piece or so, cant go wrong!





And my go to cordless drill's charger decided it had enough, shot a few sparks and died. Fairly old 18v ridgid that had served me well for 8 or 9yrs. Had a specific Bosch in mind when i went to Lowes, then they had the $130 one discounted for too much to ignore so i ended up with that one instead! I really like the compact size, weight and balance, just feels nicely made.

I have that same Bosch. I got it and the 1/4 Impact Driver. Love them. Both have served me well for the past year on the job. I don't use them daily, but I've put them through some abuse.

Going by their websites track record we'll probably see a PDF version sometime in 2017. They're still using the new products listing from over 10 months ago (they introduce new products roughly every month or two).

The 3/4-inch ratchet has 72 teeth.

for now they are pressed on, dont seem like they are going anywhere, but if they do begin to move ill order some nut inserts from like fastenall and fit them in

I lost my black streamlight like that one a few months back. It was so abused and used it was almost chrome everywhere. The lens was cracked and I can't count the times it had gotten wet or submerged in oils. It was the best flashlight ever.

I picked the 97757 plastic rivet tool this morning for about $14 because I need it for one task. Couldn't justify the truck ones for the cost. This gets good reviews.

Also came home and my NIB snap on ratcheting screwdriver was waiting for me in the mailbox. Excited about that one.

The biggest hightlight was new unused sets of vintage Proto wrenches. The special edition 500 ones with the real leather rolls, full SAE and Metric rolls. Also a nice pile of other stuff as well.

The guy I bought it from inherited the set. He said his dad got it in 1987 as an assembly worker at AMC and since he had tools already he never used it.
