So I picked up a standard and metric set of craftsman ignition wrenches. Says made in USA, but these things make harbor freight tools look like snap-on. They are not drop forged, simply stamped out and then chromed. Look at those lobster claws. They didn't even grind down the edges. Wasted about $20 for both sets, as these will go into the beaterbox when I get replacements.

I went on ebay and sniped some poor ******* out of a -v- series ignition wrench set (middle set). Now I just have to wait for a metric set to show up. This really puts a dent in any confidence I have in USA made Craftsman tools though. I understand they are small, but if they could produce a quality set 30+ years ago, I would expect the same if not better with today's manufacturing ability.

That *****. Just curious, do you have a lot of use for ignition wrenches?

I've read complaints about the quality of the USA Craftsman towards the end before they switched overseas. Some of the overseas stuff is better quality than the late model USA.

That "poor *******" was ME :shocking:

Hey how do you like that ratchet? I've been eyeing that for some time but cannot decide between 3/8 and 1/4 since they have the same torque...and in green of course

I played with it for about an hour or so. I like it so far, not too heavy. I am going to pay this off and get the 3/8 drive body only.

Also the shop wanted everyone to get the G1 ASE so this will bring me more $$ which will bring more updates to this thread from me

How many questions were there for the G1?

Some boots for my new ct8850 and batteries. Boot for ct8810, waiting for that to arrive still. Some impact extensions for the new guns, 87acf cutters, and matching locks so that I only need one key for my whole setup.

Got a 1/4" drive Kobalt socket set. COO was Taiwan. Goes from 1/4" to 9/16". Lowes had it on sale for $4.90. Needed it anyway.

Yeah that's a great deal, too bad I Don't need it. Metric set is on sale too but skips 4.5 and 5.5 (but they have singles)

Yeah they were sold out of the metric oddly enough, otherwise I would've grabbed that too. I'm running out of space for all my damn sockets. Or at least organized space.

The places I use them in are usually long cramped quarters where I can't snake through a regular wrench and stubby wrenches are too fat to provide any free space dexterity. The 10mm at least should be in everyone's toolbox.

I thought I'd try out these automatically adjusting pliers. I'm a bit sad to see they are China made, but the quality appears to be very good.

A little more than a little.
Is that a 125mm pliers wrench ?
Where did you buy one with comfort grips from ?

All from Chads Toolbox. Best prices I could find, excluding a sale at one of the oft mentioned dealers here.

Got some picks and piecing together a metric set of flare wrenches. Just won an auction for the 10x12, so just have the 16x18 to go.

I found this OEM Honda wrench in a 360 I picked up. I love it, nice patina. Also, not a new purchase but a new picture of my newest build. Right side (not my favorite side :0 )
