I have to disagree

when the person performing this comparison test is wearing a snap on shirt i'm going to be skeptical about the results... he would be inclined to find some way to make sure the comparison is stacked in favor of the people paying him

Indeed, 700ft lbs of the snap on vs 1100ft lbs of breakaway on the milwaukee... there is no comparison :dunno:

You're right, there isn't any comparison because Snap-On doesn't tend to harp all over "break away" torque figures on their electric or pneumatic impacts instead preferring working torque. The working torque for the 8850s first blow is around 700 foot pounds followed by ~600. This is different than "break away" which can be much higher. All 3 are comparable. Most people confuse the 8850, which is barely a year old, with the 7850. The former was a big step up in power. Im still putting it through its paces but this thing hits like a mule.

My very first Snap-On product ever. KRA2007. Basically to be used to store our karting tools and small spares and consumables. Perfect fit for the trailer and nice and maneuverable around our pit area.

Very impressed with how smooth the castors are. Drawer slides not bad at all. It's very solid and sturdy - can see why it costs more than the cheap Chinese boxes flooding the market. The Lock n Roll system is also a very welcome feature.

I bought a M18 Fuel 3/8" impact and 5-inch random orbit sander to add to my Milwaukee collection.

A 1/2-inch hammer drill from Sears that was on sale for $60:

IMG_1291.jpg

A 8oz ball pein hammer and 1 1/16 USA combination wrench that I picked up for $10 with points and a discount:

IMG_1298.jpg

And a set of wobble extensions from Harbor Freight. They are made in Taiwan and only cost $10, so why not?

I have that same set of Wobbles from HF, no complaints they have held up well and like you said for the price you can't beat it :)

Emergency upgrade. Somehow lost a battery and the charger for my Bosch drill's on the job. Need tools for some upcoming jobs at workand found this deal at HD today for $130. It's DQ'd so good luck finding them.

The radio is pretty sweet, and loud.

New Gearwrench 84 tooth locking flex head ratchet set with 1/4 and 3/8 locking flex head ratchets. Locking mechanism is the same as Armstrong or Matco with 9 locking positions. Taiwan made.

Do these lock up if you move the selector lever too far like the craftsman premium 84t do?

Very cool that they're bringing more of the quality Matco/Armstrong designs over to the Gearwrench name now (especially these locking flex heads and the pinless impact swivels).

New to me from a local flea market..

Plumb claw hammer with fiberglass handle $5

Drain tool $1

Stanley hack saw $3

The hack saw required some Kroil and elbow grease to restore and abate the corrosion, but turned out pretty good for a heavy duty version..

While I'm not familiar with the make, that's a excellent looking vise! What's the country of origin? Are there other mounting holes other than what shows in the picture?
Motoretro

Oops, missed this reply! Thnx! It is a Leinen Vise. Model 'range' Junior, the biggest model - 150. Made in Germany. Replacable jaws, spindle is cheap to buy as a spare too. Swivel base available afaik but $$.
It has 3 mounting holes, 2 in front (one visible) and one on the back (through the table top).
It's more of a precision vise with its dove-tail guides than one for the roughest of blacksmith work. That said, still as strong or stronger than a normal model vise.

I have the Mac version of the overdrive screwdriver $70, use it often and love it. The Stanley version is much cheaper, will see how it lasts.
Got the whole Milwaukee step drill kit at HD for the same price they were selling just the large step drill.

A few used pawn shop scores, mixed in with an amazon, kotulas, and zoro order. I am actually disappointed in the Facom adjustable pin spanner wrench. It is made in Taiwan and if you adjust it open too far it falls apart and it is a pain to get back together.

I just added the water to it, it has not been pressurized yet. I am doing that next, so don't worry!

Bought and installed some extra drawer slides for my box.

After much swearing i found the little tap that needs moving to remove the slides fitted.

Oh yea made in USA too? Thats great! The SK look just like the Snap-On ones. Probably made in the same factory lol.

What people dont know is you pay full price for some snappy stuff then your driver cuts you a deal and you get ridiculously killer prices on all the stuff you can't find elsewhere. So I'd rather pay an extra 40 now and get 100+ off cash sales on other stuff.
