Got this yesterday. I only buy from our SnapOn ****** I mean rep once in a blue moon when he's got a good deal.

Got a brand new BK5600 video scope for 399 out the door. So it was like $370ish before taxes. So I took it, works great has a touch screen, can adjust the brightness and all that ****.

Much better than the older version that my shop has that doesn't work very good for anything.

I nabbed two sets of Craftsman Premium Ratchets.

Those are the only craftsman ratchets I'll use anymore. Actually still US made too I think.

Picked up a cross peen hammer at the flea market this weekend. Needed a new handle, went to old fashioned hardware store Ace @ 10th & Arlington in Indy, and picked up a Seymour replacement handle for it and the cross peen (blue head) I already had (Plumb). Does anyone recognize the maker's mark on the hammer head?

(removed previous pictures to save space)

Here they are all fixed up with new Seymour hickory handles....

Where'd you get that Bonaire splinedrive set?

It looks like the one I got from Sunex, I actually really like it and was looking for another one to have around.

What did you pay the those wright grips? If you don't mind

I paid 222$ off Amazon. However, I cashed in 100$ worth of gift cards from my Bing Rewards points so it was really like I only paid 122$! A definite perk of using Bing and gives me an excuse to get the SAEs now since I got the Metric so cheap. Just have to decide to continue with Full Polish or try a set of the Satin. I really wish they had a full set of Black Oxide because I think I'd go with that but there selection in BO is really bizarre.

Had to fix an injector problem on the Matco truck today and while I pulling the valve cover off he gave me a long reach pliers set. Forgot to take a picture of course. I already have a couple odd ball ones but he said, "here have these" and I wasn't about to turn him down for that kind of price :rocker:

I just got the same box today. The box itself seems ok quality but the cantilever mechanism really seems to bind badly. You have to be very careful to open it exactly straight or one side will go all the way open and the other will stay closed and just bend. At least on mine. As far as the socket set goes though I was kinda surprised by the quality of the sockets. The wrench seems pretty standard cheapy but the sockets actually looked kinda nice to me. Decent finishing inside and such. I do agree though the assortment is really weird. 12 pt and 6 pt of all the same m354id sockets and then the three random 12 pts in SAE.

upgrading,

Just placed an order for the metric offset wrenches. They looked weird enough to try for only 26$. There's also a full 1/2 3/8 1/4 socket set on there that looks like a really great deal. I just already have like 10 sets. Now if only he had the same thing but deep well I would have bought it instantly.

Picked these up for $25 for the whole package including a rolling bag. Tools have low usage or at least low wear.

They're supposed to be good for nuts and bolts, regular, rusted or rounded. Never used them myself.

http://www.knipex.com/index.php?id=1216&L=1&page=group_detail&parentID=1368&groupID=1504

According to a reply from Knipex to one of the comments on this video they're supposed to be better for automotive applications than the pliers wrench since the jaws aren't as long.

Thank you very much...... now im gonna have to get myself a pair!!! Lol i really have to stay off this forum. (Cough**Not gonna happen)

lxcam those brush kits are freaking awesome. They're one of the best tools I've found for cleaning caliper slide pin holes, and its about as awesome as it gets for cleaning hand guns and long gun receivers.

picked up this 1/4 Proto 6061C from the mac guy today. I did a transmission flush on my car recently and accidentally broke one of the pan bolts. I was pretty bummed out. I was using my Craftsman torque wrench. After that I brought it to work to check it for accuracy, It was off by 6FT LBS. (it is a 3/8 inch pound torque wrench. )
I had done a little internet window shopping and was planning on picking up one from HF as most people have enjoyed theirs. I asked the mac guy today while he was at the shop how much one would cost. I was really surprised when he said they were over $200.

He then told me he had one with a chewed up end on his truck. He said for me to try it out and if I liked it, he'd charge me $75 for it.
I am going to try it this weekend on another transmission flush I am going to do and see if I like it.

here's a few pictures

and the chewed up end. I took my grinder too it and cleaned it up some, I can get a socket to fit on it with ease. It's not super loose but falls off if I spin it over and shake it some.
