WoW CLIFTON, that Armostrong stuff makes me want to sell off and start over. Nice looking kit.

I planned to only get metric in the shorter sockets with a ratchet. But Napa screwed up & never got them in. They had this set on sale and I got all of that for only $30 more. I didn't need all of them. Now they're getting divided up between my 3 boxes. Didn't feel like switching my SO deep wells out of my shop box so the Armstrong deepwells are getting put in the service truck box.

You will love that Fluke 87. My hands down favorite meter. Been using one at work and one at home for the past 15+ years now and won't be caught without it.

Mike.
Yeah. I've already used it extensively. I originally had my heart set on a 17x series meter, since the price was modest and they have most every feature I need, while the 80 series meter slightly outside my price range but one of the people who replied to my ISO was willing to trade this brand new 87V for a guitar pedal I no longer wanted. It's just such a good meter. I'm very pleased.

Todays Craigslist haul. MAC tools, more than I would ever need at a fair price. My accepted offer was 100 for the torx, 30 for the test kit. Again, thinking more than I'll ever need at a nice price. This stuff Is pre-owned, but never touched. I know the previous owner.

If you know the previous owner, how is this a craigslist haul? Pretty darn happy coincidence isn't it?

Needed a Vise for work so I got this cheaper Wilton that came with the 4lb hammer. It's not the best vice but for working where I work this one will do me well. I didn't know they held a lifetime warranty so that made me happy. Also grabbed some knipex at Menards this morning.

i'm not saying it's not a good ratchet... i was expecting some level of wow based on how people talk like the dual 80 is the greatest thing ever...

i'll give it a fair chance to impress me through actual use...

In my opinion the dual 80s don't get good until you start getting the flex head longer ratchets.

Yep, that's been the case for me too. They're also better the other way, when you go into the smaller ratchets like the FHCNF72

I'm not really sure what those middle "standard" ratchet sizes are really for nowadays.

Hit pawn shops this evening after work. Mac 3/8" shallow impact set with MTS tray $25 and Matco 3/8" deep/mid impact set in old matco metal tray $70. All I gotta do is find the matching mid sockets for the tray. And 1 Mac 5mm hex socket which I actually needed for a set. The bottom of the matco tray was full of mud and oil too lol.

I picked up a few sale item's at Sears. I hate going there because the past 100 times I've been I ***** about the garbage Chinese tools. Some things like some pliers, pry bars, chisels, punches, and hammers are still made in the USA so I stop in to check sales every so often. I got a sweet deal on some Craftsman Professional red/black handled pry bars for $30 and a Gearwrench serpentine belt kit I've been wanting for several years now for $39. I really loved the red/black handled Professional line. What a waste of an excellent product. SK still sells the red/black screwdrivers and such in green/black but not the pry bars. The Gearwrench kit is about the best serpentine belt kit on the market in my opinion.

This popped up on CL. I hit the road immediately. Guy called me on my way saying he had other interest. I told him I was coming. He wanted $280. We settled on $250.

Some keiba pliers from their "high grade" series.
A couple of koken rails.
A 32mm z series oil cap socket.
A 21mm z series deep socket.
And last but not least the koken z-series T-20-T55 torx bit sockets.

The Tekton set is old news, but the wrench on the far left is a Snap-on 15mm Long pattern wrench. SOEXLM15

The tiny wrench on the left is a Gedore 7 XL 10 10mm long pattern wrench.

This is part of my attempt to collect a bunch of different brand long patterns to see which ones are longer than the others and how they all compare to my Wrights. So far the Snap-On is killing it. That 15mm SO is longer than the 18mm long pattern from Neiko. I'm still looking for suggestions of others to try in this experiment. Another unexpected contender is Dewalt. I had to buy an 18mm Dewalt combination wrench in a pinch because my GW set didn't have 18mm and surprisingly their wrenches are a mile long. They aren't even marked long pattern just their standard wrenches are like that.

Also in the picture is a new Williams 3/8" SAE deep well set. I got that off Amazon Warehouse for 20$. They are absolutely identical to my Blue-Point deep wells. Inside and out. Also I really like the quality on them. They are Taiwan but I don't know that I could be much happier with chrome deep well sockets. The fit and finish on them is really top notch.

Negen,

Congrats on the drool worthy new tools!

Can you please explain the upgraded features of Keiba's pliers from its "high grade" series?

Where did you purchase all these Japanese hand tools? If its from a specific Rakuten store, can you please provide a link?

Thanks,

Dave
