I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. We have a lot of 18 volt tools at the shop.
I've seen a homemade one or two but it can't be reliable or durable enough. I keep hoping to see some Chinese ones pop up somewhere. Heck, I'd give 100 bucks for one. I haven't searched in a while, maybe I'll look around tonight.

I'll give one thing to Ryobi, they've kept their batter plugs the same. A bit bulkier but you can use new batteries with old tools.

Finally caught up with my snap on guy, heres todays new toys. Half priced carbon scraper set (wanted those for a while), used matco adv 1/2dr metric impact set ($40), used Snappy Torx set for the powersports box at home, and my favorite, the Snap On Demo Deadblow, I've wanted one of these for a while to go with my giant pliers and ratchet!

Metabo 18v

Hello,

Unfortunately had my van broken into and 10k worth of equipment stolen, these are my first purchases to get back on track. The metabo grips and gearboxes are very well built.

Got this ratchet from 90zcar. Not new but new to me. Barely used and in great condition. He also threw in a HF Flashlight. Kudos to 90zcar.<br />

Not necessarily a garage tool, but i picked this guy up at HD for a rewiring project I'm working on in my house. Makes the job a lot easier for drilling into the studs and running new wire. Patching access holes is a lot easier than completely ripping out all the plaster and lath

One cool thing about those sets, my Snap on guy will warranty those for me. All the pieces are the same from brand to brand.

yeah i noticed my files even appear have a snap-on date code on them... which reminded me that i read this set was identical to the snap-on

Impact Taps

I have just bought several of these

http://holemaker-technology.com/products/impact-taps-heavy-duty

I have also purchased these for my impact driver

http://holemaker-technology.com/products/speedtap-impact-taps

Very impressive if you need to tap holes regularly.

The weldon shank adaptor also allows you to use the taps in a 1/2" ratchet for manual tapping.

I bought them to tap 20mm plate to M24. They must be lubricated, but work without any issue, they are only suitable for through holes.

They are also available through orbital fasteners in the UK.

Picked up the 18 volt XRP drill on the clearance. Also picked up a few extra batteries. Pretty good deal. Goes good with my cordless grinder I picked up the other day.

I assume you mean ground but either way I'd replace it before using the compressor. Just cut the old plug off and put a new one on.

Snappy = $134 Master Rethreading Kit
C-Man = $54 Master Thread Restorer Kit

The kits do not appear to be 100% identical.

When the case is open, look at the bottom left corner

They are made by Lang / Kastar and yes there identical except for the price

its called Snap On markup

New to me T72 1/4" ratchet. Can't tell if it was used and looks nicer than the toolbox ratchet for damn sure.
Thanks Adam for the great buy.
