Yesterday, I made another trip to C&L Tool Supply in Coraopolis, PA. Here is a link to their website with the vendor list: LINK. Their prices are very competitive with internet merchants.

__________________________________________________________________________

Gearwrench 1/4" Drive 120XP Ratchet

The store stocks all of its Gearwrench hand tools behind the counter. I asked the lady for the ratchet by part # and she pulled it out from a large, multi-drawer cabinet. C&L stocks a good amount of Gearwrench hand tools.
__________________________________________________________________________

Knipex 6" Cobra Pliers

Right when you arrive, on the left side, there is an impressive Knipex pliers pegboard. They stock from 5" Knipex Cobra pliers to the 16" or 22" model. C&L also stock from the 6" Pliers Wrench to the 16" model. They will also special order any Knipex pliers model not in stock (ex: Cobra ES 10"). It takes about 4 weeks to arrive in store.

Gray Canada 17mm Hex Bit Socket

Gray Canada 10mm Hex Bit Socket

I do not know if these are NOS since they were manufactured in Canada. Maybe our Canadian members can answer this question: Are the current Gray hex bit sockets still manufactured in Canada?
____________________________________________________________________________

Mayhew Dominator 4 pc Mini Hook and Pick Set (Model 60003)

This set is made in Taiwan and comes with a clear storage pouch. C&L stocks a good amount of Mayhew products.

Titan 4 pc Seal and O-Ring Remover Set (Model 17004)

This set is made in Taiwan. C&L stocks a good amount of Titan hand tools.

Picked these up today along with the Gladiator cabinet to get me over the $100 threshold so I could save $10. Basically they were free and both USA made!

Excited about this one as I frequently need a second wrench to hold the other side of nut/ bolt combinations. :)

Sweet! I've wanted to pick one of those up for a while but they're always priced so darn high. I keep expecting to see them remade around Christmas/Father's Day but no one ever does.

While in theory that V5 bleeder works good, I have heard very bad things about reverse brake bleeding. Since the dirt and **** and **** settles near the caliper, you dont want to push it back up to thru the system, as it can cause damage to ABS modules, and master cylinders.

Man..what kind of markup does those have where he can afford to make deals like that?
Snapon offers those deals to the dealers. The dealers usually get a limited supply of the bogo deals in special packaging. It's really more snapons special offer than a particular dealers...

Depends on the system. In the industrial world there are systems that only bleed properly this way. As for auto aplications I've Sen on more than one occasion someone wipe out a master cylinder manual pumping it. Short strokes are key.

rmsg0040,

Very nice one piece sockets!

Do you own any other hand tools from Genius Tools? If yes, how's your experience been with them?

Thanks,

Dave

I own just a little bit:

1/4 wobble plus extensions
3/8 wobble plus extensions
1/4 metric deep 12pt chrome sockets
3/8 impact socket set SAE both deep and short
3/8 impact socket set metric both deep and short
Use to have extra long 13mm x 15mm wrench

Experience has been great, very good Taiwan quality stuff, only thing I can say is that the impact sockets sets has such a wide range that it wont work with most socket trays like Hansen.

Replaced my craftsman simple flare kit with an Imperial Flaring tool. It self centers invert-flares. Used on 6 flares, dead center, good shape. Made in USA.

Never heard of them, and I could use a good flaring tool. Looked at their website and couldnt find the set you have pictured.

Price was stout. I think it was ~$340.00, Eastwood had a small sale that was less than Amazon.

Was considering a Mastercool set, but read varied reviews and decided on this one.
