My only gripe is it is geared towards aftermarket lugs. But it could save you.

So not to ask too stupid a question. That's why I bought them was for the very rare time I get someone here who forgot their key and it's ohhhhhhh 1000 miles away. So my question is if not aftermarket locking lugs, then what or who's lugs?. Like I said, dumb question but maybe theres something out there I haven't come across yet. :dunno:

Nice set...curious - will they warranty worn out taps?

I'd say they would according on your relationship with your matco dealer. I've been told a worn out tool shouldn't be warranty though. A broken took yes. I bought a toolbox from my guy and take care of my bills with him so he pretty much takes care of everything.

View media item 52984Large Tekton from the Amazon deal
Metabo Made in Germany grinder from my local farm supply place, its the most basic bottom of the range one, it does have the safety clutch system though, but no quick nut, auto balance, low vibration handle or variable speed. Feels like a quality item though but it ought to be for near double the cost of a Hitachi or Makita.

Those Tekton Pliers are as good as channel locks stuff. I really like them.

I like them too, the abuse these pliers get at work none of them last that long, I bought the tiny pair last year and they are great for the money. These are cheap enough at full price there is no reason to buy a Chinese made version.
I like Channelock as well, they have a lot more options available.

Hi everyone. Been lurking for a while, but figured I'd join and post.

I got a nice selection of NWS pliers recently to help fill out a new toolbox.

I can't say that I'm impressed with the Titian finish. It looks like the finish was sprayed on and the tools were put together tacky. There are drips and crinkles in the finish. It even looks like the finish stuck together in between the handles while it was curing.

At first, I wondered if these were in fact real NWS tools. After searching for "counterfeit NWS tools" and doing some image searching, I've seen lots of people complaining about the finish of NWS. I guess this is just they way they are.

All-in-all, I'm not unhappy with the set. I really like the added leverage of the cutters. These are tools, and I expect the finish to wear with time anyway. I just had expected more from NWS.

I got the Wilde chisel holder years ago. Try as I might I just can't keep it locked on the chisel. I use it when I really need to swing hard with a big hammer so there is a lot of vibration.

Three or four good hits and it starts to come loose.
