I guess tires are considered a tool, treated the chevy to some nice Goodyear wrangler duratracs for the rear duals. Will defiantly be nice for off road welding jobs:bounce:

Thanks. I am just a body guy so its gonna be low milage. Seatbelts, steering wheels and what not.

Hey let me know how that locking lug kit works out for you.

Give it back and ask him to have the battery compartment update installed.

I will inquire about it Friday...... ( if I remember )

(...) I guess this is just they way they are.

All-in-all, I'm not unhappy with the set. I really like the added leverage of the cutters. These are tools, and I expect the finish to wear with time anyway. I just had expected more from NWS.
Me too!
Go Knipex next purchase and become completely happy.:bounce:

Got tired of muscling lug nuts and other fasteners off my tractors and trucks so I picked up this impact wrench today. Already tried it out on a brush hog I am repairing and holy **** I don't know why I didnt buy one sooner.

Thanks Rogue, I've seen plenty of good reviews. I hope to get a few years out of them. Now I want some snow or find a good muddy dirt road to try them:3gears:

I hate to tell ya this but snows downright boring with them. They just won't loose traction. I've been out after a foot of snow and just cruise around. Havnet taken my chains out in two years now (which is when I purchesed the tires).

Well that's what I want. I'd love to be able to plow through a foot or more. Last winter I had some pretty worn tires and was slipping and sliding everywhere.

Haven't posted in a while. Picked up a few bits off the matco truck. Everything bar the disconnect tool set was a special on the flyer. Both extension sets were but one and get the XL one free.

Picked up the air hammer from Gregg's Distributors for $115. I really like it as you don't feel too much of the vibrations and it has plenty of power for what I need.

Picked these up today off kijiji for $50 which I think is a steal! Also nearly grabbed a full set of unopened proto snap ring pliers for $20 but I wasn't quick enough. Woman was selling stuff she got in her divorce...I guess she didn't know the value of them!

How is that 72 tooth 1/2 drive flex??

I bet its so nice!

Excellent! The Cornwell guy had a great deal going, and it is longer than any other brand's 1/2'' flex.

I bought it for barring engines over. Some of these engines we work on are a pain to turn over.

My boss at work has a set of these. I used them the other day while working with him and was quite impressed. I usually don't like these gimmicky things but this will be handy as heck at work instead of carrying 8 wrenches in my pouch or running back to the back of the plant to get the right ones.

I have a set of those in my new truck just in case.

Local Menards is closing, everything is 40% off. Picked up some Hanson socket trays, a couple Wilde chisels, a bunch of bits, a Vaughn Bearpaw, rubber mats which I will cut up for tool box liners, a soot remover, drain and drain sock, a Wilde 3 piece pry bar set, and 2 extension cord splitters.

Tekton 1355 E-torx set from Amazon. First Tekton purchase, and they look really good. Haven't had a chance to use them yet.

On Friday, I purchased and picked up from McMaster-Carr Armstrong USA long hex bit sockets in the following metric sizes:

- 3/8" drive, 4mm, 6-1/8" overall length
- 3/8" drive, 5mm, 6-1/8" overall length
- 3/8" drive, 6mm, 6-1/8" overall length
- 3/8" drive, 8mm, 6-1/8" overall length
- 3/8" drive, 9mm, 6-1/8" overall length
- 1/2" drive, 12mm, 6" overall length
- 1/2" drive, 14mm, 7" overall length

According to McMaster's website (LINK), the 9mm and 12mm hex bits are not replaceable within the sockets.

Here are some pictures of the McMaster purchases:

I purchased yesterday from Home Depot these sturdy 3/8" and 1/2" drive socket rails. They are made in Taiwan. After installing the hex bit sockets, I turned the rails upside down. None of the sockets fell off. In addition, with the weight of the 1/2" drive sockets (10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm), the socket rail did not bend or crack.

Here is a link to the 3/8" drive Husky socket rail on the Home Depot site: LINK.

Here are some pictures of the Husky socket rails:
