Picked up some Kobalt flex head ratchets. Also picked up individual sizes to complete the set in SAE and Metric. They didn't have a flex head in 7/8 and 15/16 so I got the regular straight ratcheting wrenches.

Advance auto had the gearwrench flex on sale couple weeks ago for $30 something

The red tag stuff was 80% off. Thread sealer for $.60 and $2 anchor asst. Also got the socket rails for $2 each and then I had some points. About $100 for everything and then I used my Sunex rebate card.

I do maintenance in a factory and end up losing them all the time. These will stand out a lot more.

I never thought about losing them, you are right, they do tend to get lost easier. I bought the new snap on ones and I love them, they have both ends with the ball on them. They are not the be all end all, but damn that is handy. I have used them several times and each time my brain tells me it was worth the extra money. I don't know if that is true or me trying to convince myself of the price. :headscrat

The short end is generally high torque so I am not sure I personally would trust a ball on that end.

I was surprised how well they work. If you have them off kilter, you can get into trouble, but they seem to be working well so far.

Couple Snap-On 1/4" hex to squares. Smallest I could find that have a detent (where the seal sits).

Also picked up a Tekton 3/8 72T low profile ratchet. Pretty impressed with it's strength and feel so far. Thinking about grabbing the 1/4" and stubby versions of both. Time will tell!

UPS guy just made a delivery. Of course the puppy would let me take a pic without him.

I just realized that I have been really slacking on my new tool arrivals. I have been a bit overwhelmed with stuff, so maybe I can get some pictures up later this week.

DeWalt impact and bits

Does anyone know if the rails for the bits in the boxes are available as an extra? I've searched a few places but nothing so far.

Tonight's Craigslist score:

Lisle master puller kit, Lisle (?) bearing driver kit, ATD ball joint press, some misc pullers, a large driver (edit - it's a Lisle 38060 - Axle Shaft Seal Installer ), SK stubbies, SK 1/4 ratchet, some misc panel tools, brake spring tool, a tool for removing the seals in recessed spark plugs, seal puller, radio puller, lockout airbag, whatever else is pictured, and not pictured a 10 lb sledgehammer.

Guy I bought it all from was super cool, too.

This also arrived today from Wade, a member on here, to house my newly acquired snap ring pliers:

I bought an ATD fwd bearing remover and installer set not long ago. Seems to be decent stuff for the price.

I've used my buddy's in the past, and it worked well. I don't like borrowing tools unless I have to, and I got that whole package for a steal.

Found some interesting bits at a local pawn shop. The Proto Los Angeles adjustable just jumped out at me.
