They are made by the same OEM as MAC's Precision Torque sockets. There are ridges/teeth on the socket wall that will help grip damaged, corroded, or rounded fasteners. Packaging literature (and MAC's products too) claim up to 85% rounded. They came up on my thread about extractor sockets and tools. Decently finished, and cheap enough to just grab on a whim. Lol.

Here is just another reason MAC ***** the big one. A couple posts back someone posted about some clearance mac tools for cheap. I went and ordered a pair of cutters for 5 bucks. Got an email today saying my order was cancelled. No reason listed why. I called in and the lady said "yeah sorry about that. We sold out of them and it takes awhile for our computer to update online"

Screaming deal for a 6 point pass through socket set, no matter where it's made. This set is actually very very nice.

Been on a Koken kick lately. Ordered all my stuff from Franks Tools. Got an Attack Driver, SAE and metric stubby hex socket sets (ran into a situation at work where it wouldve made the job a lot easier), Zeal Ratchet, Universals, and thumbwheel adaptors. I didnt even order the two screwdrivers but I guess he threw em in for free.

My cutters were cancelled too. I'll call them tomorrow. One pair shipped and one is backordered.

^^^ Some great purchases there, Strouty!!!! though I think you left yourself short on hammers

The funny part about the hammers is I ordered one of each one that they make, but I ended up ordering an extra 7 pound sledge hammer. Now I have three of them, two blue and one red. :(

see if they'll trade one of the blues for a white one (saw in another thread) and you'll have a patriotic set of sledge hammers!

Holy **** Strouty. Got enough hammers? Check back in a year and show us how 'used' all of them are.......

On another note, I have been wanting one of those torque wrenches for a long time. How did you get the green? Is it an orderable part number or a special?

Kunk, my driver knows I like green, they kind of sold themselves. Of course he knocked off some money and that helped too. I am pretty sure you can order them, but they are not for the faint of heart. I am just glad they didn't have a 1/4" version.

My hammer collection is a bit overwhelming, I want to make a tree to hold them. Of course I keep buying these pretty hammers and I am afraid to bust them out when doing any work with the torch or welder. I think I may need to start getting some more wood handle hammers, I am not afraid to burn some wood.

If I had a (hundred) hammer(s),
I'd hammer in the morning
I'd hammer in the evening,
All over this land

I'd hammer out danger,
I'd hammer out a warning,
I'd hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters,
All over this land.

tlpatter,

Congrats on your Ko-ken purchases! Very nice stuff!

Does the multi-bit Switz Tool Professional screwdriver work like the older Autoloader screwdrivers (it stores the screwdriver bits or here the entire shafts inside the screwdriver handle)?

If you still have the packaging, would you mind taking a picture of the backside?

Thanks,

Dave
