Amazon deals thread. Very happy with some SAE 12pt Mid Length impacts. Work on too much random stuff that these will get used instead of beating on my chrome 12pts.

Got a Trusty Cook dead blow with Armstrong's name on it. I finally have something TC! It feels awesome, but I did bruise my shin "testing" it... I hit my coffee table with it lightly and thought, "Hmm, not a very good test". Then in my infinite wisdom took a swing at my own shin what I thought was lightly but... was not.

I also got an awesomely high quality feeling set of Knipex snap ring pliers, and a new maraca for my next musical number.

Amazon deals thread is awesome / will be the bankruptcy of me.

And I got these free from my MAC guy. I went on his truck and said they look like robo grips. He told told me they were mine now. He's had them on his truck for a few years and I'm the first to notice them.

I have a pair of those pliers and they are just ok, but I did use them tonight to remove the license plate bulb on my truck. I think yours is missing one of the rubber jaw covers because mine has two. It's too bad they don't stay shut when not in use. You can find them HERE.

Got some great deals on MAC tools at a local auction today. Everything is brand new too.

IMG_0360_zps8qavwe92.jpg~original

1/2" dr. air ratchet for $100. $374.99 of the truck or $289.99 for the equivalent Proto version (J150RSH). I kind of wish it was the 3/8" dr. version, but at the price I paid, I really can't complain.

Picked up a couple things over the week. Including the oil filter wrench I got today since I can never seem to get the filter off my wife's corolla without a battle.

Got my order in from toolsdelivered.com.

Didn't know about the site until a member mentioned it for good prices on USA williams stuff. So i took a gander and purchased this. 3/8 drive metric impact set. 7-19mm overall finish is great, looks like a well built set. The main thing I like is that they are not super big and bulky like my tekton impacts. Nothing against them. Time will tell. I believe I will be ordering the 1/4 chrome set later on.

if you need sae, cripe has the matching set branded kobalt from when williams was making kobalt stuff. I have two sets, they're great, exactly the same as the reg williams

Picked up the 20 piece Gearwrench ratcheting wrench set at today. About $35 after SYW points.

When I got them I saw that these were the older stock, made in Taiwan ones!

Went in the store to check out some of the other ones they had on display and they were all made in China. Guess I got lucky.

Please do a review or pm me and tell me how you like it and what it does or doesn't do well. I was looking at this and it claims to do a bunch of stuff and it's MUCH less than say the PP 4. Or even the 3.
You know you can get the pp3 for like 60 bucks. I bought mine for 80

* I am taking the liberty of posting this in this thread as well in the hopes of it getting the attention of someone who might be able to answer my question. *

I recently learned that all of the archived catalogs I had entrusted to a relative were disposed of, so I have no way to determine the age of this item.
I am wondering if anyone here might be able to take a look and offer their opinion as to vintage.

The unit functions perfectly. Unfortunately, it was necessary to replace the wire leads, which were no longer functional. I did manage to retain and re-use the original plugs that connect the leads to the device.

I spotted this nut driver set the other day on Menard's site. They were only local store's clearance section. Granted they are cheap and made in China, I believe the 10 pc set is worth the 79¢. I picked up a few sets ... SKU 2369848

When I was looking for them, I spotted these Bostitch 5/32" masonary drill bits for 99¢. I figured they work work for 3/16" tapcons.

Plus 11% back on these too.

I'd leave a note or something about found snap on tools, let me know what it is and you can have it back. You know someone is pissed.

Just tell the people at the counter you found a cordless tool and leave a contact number. I wouldn't be so specific to advertise that its a pricey brand or even what it was as there is no need. The legitimate owner will know what they lost.

Stopped by harbor freight and picked up some stubby wrenches and a 3/8 torque wrench. I figured I would give it a shot.

Stopped by lowes to pick up some lights and these sets of pliers were on sale for 10 bucks so I grabbed them. Can never have too many pliers.

Its all Chinese but what isn't :(

Nice surprise from my brother yesterday in the mailbox and the best part was the price as it was free :D

Not the best design, but it will work fine for my needs. Already used it to check the runout on my Dunlap DP.

I'd return the kobalt locking pliers. I bought a set couple years ago. They where junk. Maybe for around the house use (not even in the garage) but that's about all there good for. Not sure if they improved them since then tho.

HF should pay you to take pics of all their stuff.
That pic of the stubbies looks nice.

Thanks :) Thats just a quick iPhone snap, but I appreciate the complement

Just messing about with them they don't seem to be bad, I will give them a chance. I have a decent collection of older Vice-Grips that my dad gave me when he retired. He owned a custom fab shop, they are rough and have quite a bit of weld spatter on them but are still my go-to locking pliers. For 10 bucks I am willing to give them a try.

SEMA snags

I've been wanting a set of these for a while. Got all three including the impact rated 3/8" for a buck ten.

These looked like they might come in handy, specially in a engine bay where there's no room to swing a hammer. And after playing around with them, seem to be really good quality.

Now for these. At first I honestly thought they were a gimmick tool and who knows they just might be. But they appear to be manufactured from good quality steel and they sure as hell tighten up as advertised. BUT I haven't tried them out in the real world just yet. But considering I got them for 60% list, no complaints.
