I love those swivel extensions. Use mine all the time. Been thinking of picking up one of those rachets. What's the part number on that one?

Viggen337 - I'm definitely jealous, I saw that deal on the DeWalt Mitre Saw and was going to purchase it on an impulse buy, but thought let me research it, went the next day and it was gone. It comes back here and there, just gotta be patient I guess.

I got a Bostitch 6 Gallon Compressor with 3 nailers (16, 18 & nail) at Lowe's on sale for $199 which is valid through 11/25/2015. I needed to reinstall some baseboards I pulled out and figured this was a good deal.

Git home to find a box that I thought was much too small to have my hammers, I was wrong. Excuse the mess if you see it lol.

FLL80. It is my favorite ratchet now. I love how long the handle is. I've got the longest 1/2" ratchet coming as well.

Here's some of my new Craftsman Industrial socket sets. I purchased both SAE & metric 1/4" drive sets and a metric 3/8" drive set.

Earlier this morning I went over to HD during work to participate in their Pro Customer Appreciation Event. I got a free breakfast and picked up a few more things...

Up until earlier this week I had a Dewalt DCR015 12V/20V Max radio/charger. Between having to add Bluetooth, a USB port that doesn't work unless you're on AC power, and the terrible FM reception, I have been looking for an excuse to return it. I kept the box and all of the original packaging just in case...

Then the other day I got an email from HD:

I returned it to HD earlier this week for store credit. The customer service desk said that it looked brand new and asked if I had even used it, so I guess it pays to take care of things and keep the box sometimes!

That store credit was burning a hole in my wallet while I patiently waited until today to buy this:

It's currently on sale for $199, and I lucked out because it was the last one they had in stock - they sold 2 since I was there yesterday. I grabbed another Tough System Organizer (that I needed) to put the total over $200. So I wound up getting the new radio for the same amount the DCR015 sells for ($179), and only had to pay for the organizer. :p

I can't wait to try it out when I get home, I was very impressed with the demo they had at the Pro Desk that I was able to play around with last weekend! It probably isn't as tough as the DCR015 as far as dropping / abuse but it is definitely more weather and dust resistant, which is perfect for my needs. The sound quality is also much better, not that I complained too much about that on the DCR015. I'm sure I'll be very happy with it for a long time.

This is a discussion for another thread, start a new one about it and I will be the first to say IBTL. If you guys get this one locked there will be a ton of mad people, so realize there are lots of people out there and not one of them has the same moral compass you do.

There was some hostility because I went out of my way to return it to Home Depot instead of Lowe's, where it was purchased. I edited my post because I was trying to keep the thread civil, so you missed some of the details.

I could have taken it back to Lowe's with the receipt (I was well within the return period there), but since I stopped buying Kobalt tools I really don't go there much anymore. HD is much closer to me anyway.

Oh, well, since it worked out great for YOU, that must make it OK to screw others then...

Mods: feel free to remove my post. I certainly do NOT want this thread closed. I just couldn't help myself, I had to reply to this...

Some people f*****g amaze me at what they are capable of doing with no regret.

Can you please explain to me what it is you feel that I did that is screwing others?! I think there has been a huge misinterpretation of my post earlier by a few members here.

If anyone has an issue with what I posted earlier, pease PM me so we don't clutter up the thread with petty arguments. I'm not discussing it here any further and risking getting this thread locked. I definitely do not want that.

To the GJ moderators: I apologize if my post has caused any problems. I honestly did not expect it to cause such controversy or I would not have posted it.

I'm pretty sure that buying something at Lowes and returning it to HD is illegal.

How is buying something at Lowes and returning it to HD NOT screwing others? Others = person or business, etc. Do you really think what you did is OK? Do you really not realize that you screwed HD? Amazing...

Ebay bucks promo and good ebay price made me jump on the 2235 bandwagon. MG725 coming to a classifieds near you.

Also picked up these two KTC ceramic scrapers to try. Pricey bastards, hope they're worth it.

I almost forgot - I received my Grainger order just before I was leaving work today. It was a slow, rainy day, so I stuck around to unpack these instead of rushing home to work on the house like I have been doing lately. I'm really glad my company pays for my work tools! I've been upgrading the ones that have been here since the 90s and just aren't the best solution anymore:

DCD985 Hammerdrill, DCD780 Drill, DCF885 1/4" Impact Driver, DCL040 Flashlight, DCV581H Corded/Cordless 18/20V HEPA Vac.

Now I can finally retire the shelf full of 18V chargers and small army of NiCad battery packs!! It'll be nice to leave a battery on a tool in my rolling cart, knowing that it will be charged and ready when I need it.

I also got these from Grainger:

A few DCB204 4.0Ah packs to upgrade the barebones DCB201 1.5Ah packs that came with the DCD780/DCF885 kit. People like to borrow my tools when I'm not looking, so I'll be leaving the DCD780 and 1.5 Ah packs out on the workbench for people to find while the rest are securely locked up so they aren't MIA when I need them.

I also received a variety of Tough System cases that I will use to keep certain tools/parts organized for quick response when an alarm is going off in the building. I'm really going to need to order the cart soon!

I was shopping for an MG725 on ebay, but there were multiple bids on every one that I saw.

I ended up buying this from DNSCHMIDT (not on ebay). Astro Pneumatic Onyx 1828, 3/8" Drive, 450ft-lbs. It's smaller and awesome-er. Made in Taiwan. They make good stuff these days.
