Keter folding work table from Menards as the $39 BF deal was too good to pass up.

Whiteside creeper seat. Needed one at work for awhile now. No more cramped knees when working under dies :)

Bravo Monte. There's one thing from USA that hasn't been duplicated. Be gentle or it will only last 30 years.

I picked up some wrench racks recently, and as I started to organize my wrenches I began thinking about all the ones I still need... not a good thing to do around Black Friday! A few posts back, I mentioned that I don't really have any GearWrench tools. I'm off to a good start so far, I saw these on Sears' website for $75, and got them for $65 store pickup with a coupon:

GearWrench item # 39327. 32-piece ratcheting combo wrench set, SAE/metric, with stubbys. [emoji1]

Picked up this Johnson 48" level, made in USA, at TSC for $24.99+tax. The part # 53-009 only turns up on TSC and Menard's websites. I bought a Mayhew 5 pc cold chisel set with roll at TSC and it was not sold anywhere else, perhaps another TSC special?

First impression, very nice and sturdy. This will come in handy for drywall work.

I put that same set on my christmas "wish list"
One thing to note: I was trying to figure out why the 32 piece is such a great deal compared to the 20 piece set combined with something like the 10 piece stubby set. Those are both made in Taiwan, but I discovered just now that the 32-piece is apparently made in China. [emoji35]

I wasn't too thrilled just now when I discovered that. All of my existing wrenches are from either the U.S., Taiwan, or Japan. I'm curious to see how these hold up in the long term. They are certainly better than the HF options I looked at.

^noted and thank you. The reason I asked for it is because of the price and the stubbies, which I don't have in ratcheting. Not a make or break for me because the normal length will back up the ratcheting wrenches I have, and how much torque can you put on stubbies? Good looking out researching and posting the COO! Thanks again

I picked up some stuff from my sears outlet...

5Vp78JP.jpg

Craftsmen Pro screwdrivers (2.50ea)
(2) cheap china C clamps (5ea)
Craftsmen Made in USA 1/4 impacts in metric (8piece) and SAE (7pcs) (12ea)
Gearwrench 8pc SAE ratcheting open ended wrenches. (20)

All were pretty decent deals IMO. The gear wrench set rang up at 39.99 but had a sticker for 19.99. The tag by them said door buster 39.99 so not sure why the 19.99 tag was on it. luckily the cashier didnt even care and just changed it for me

Sure thing! I'm not really too worried about it, just slightly disappointed. I have my 6-point combination wrenches when I need to really crank on stuff, and my flex-head ratcheting combo wrenches as well. It was worth it to add a set of ratcheting stubbys, and still a good price considering. [emoji106]

China or Taiwan? My local Sears, well the one I go to, had that set from China and the 20-piece from Taiwan...so I went with the 20-piece. The Chinese set had a little more play side-to-side on the ratcheting end, the slightly worse finishing I could have lived with. The only problem is the set isn't quite complete, need four sizes of Metric and four of SAE to make it complete.

Yes, the set I posted is made in China (see my posts later in the thread). I bought them online about a week after looking at the other sets in person and just assumed the COO would be the same. I haven't had a chance to compare them side by side, but for the price paid and my use/needs, I'll probably keep them. I'll eventually fill in the missing sizes as needed, which will give me the chance to really compare them (I'm assuming the individual wrenches are not from China).

I bought a single(9mm) from Amazon and it was from China...honestly, if I didn't have them side by side and knew one was from China, I wouldn't have noticed a difference. They're the nicest Chinese wrenches I've ever seen. I think I may have subconsciously had part of my decision related to price; I had $45 worth of points on SYW, so I got the set for $5...which does seem pretty badass compared to the big set for $35.

Did they have the dewalt ratcheting wrench sets at your store? Mine had a few sets for 29.99 yesterday marked door buster with 39.99 stickers on them, but those gearwrench where 19.99 here

Impacts here where $17.99 ea so I left them after I had them double check. Trying to fill the missing one's would drive me nuts any way. I only ended up leaving with 37 of the screwdrivers after visiting two of them.

picked these up today at the car show

there is always this big tool booth, they have a lot of cheap chinese stuff but have some good stuff mixed in. The had a bunch of Channelock stuff, the Wilde stuff I got. They had some nos craftsman USA stuff too for decent prices, not the inflated prices you see on ebay right now. Thad had socket sets, punch sets, nut drivers, ratchets, etc. There is also a guy who has a booth with used tools. Had a lot of older snap on this year. Tends to be expensive unless you really haggle with him and he's had a few already. lol. I spent 150 or so with him last year. Didn't get anything this year, I went in looking for some specific stuff and he didn't have anything. This was at the Houston Autorama

They have the dewalt ones but i didnt need them so kind o fjust skipped over them (i have gearwrench regular ratcheting already)

The ones i did pick up were just to try. Not sure how i feel about them quite yet. But i only tried it out on an easy to get to bolt (ie when you wouldnt use it lol). If nothing else its another ratcheting wrench on the box end so meh for 20 bucks not a bad deal.

The impacts were 12 bucks here. They also had regular chrome sets. Someone had opened the box on one and it was made in usa too. Came with sockets and a ratchet. But i didnt look any closer than that. I wont fill in the gaps with my set. Im not even really sure why i bought them other than i had two of the harbor freight socket holds in 1/4" that they could go on. guess i can start using them with my 12v impact (been using regular sockets with it since its super low power lol)

And yeah i wanted to get a couple more of the screw drivers but i just didnt need them. If i hadnt just bought a nice Wiha set i would have gotten more.

Huh, it seems they are moving production of these to China, then. That *****, although I guess I couldn't tell the difference either. I didn't even notice until I had emptied the tray and happened to see it on the back. They're definitely on par with my Kobalt flex-head ratcheting combo wrenches, which I really like the feel of (Taiwan).

Picked these up today at ace hardware to give to a buddy for Christmas. He's really starting to get into wrenching on his own vehicles and figured a good buy at $30 for all of it.

Advance Auto Parts sale, picked up two Gearwrench socket sets, 20 Piece 3/8" Drive #8801A for $20 and 22 Piece 1/4" Drive #8800A for $15. Nice socket selection and ratchets, didn't need them but love Gearwrench and never hurts having backups.

This site is a bad influence lol. Almost set for screw drivers, few spares for my brother and some to hopefully trade to fill out the missing one's. Also got some Milwaukee m12 and m18 kits but need to pick some of it up still.
