New to me temporary cart. Was a trade in on the snap on truck, $500 was a bit high to me but I've outgrown the HF 5 drawer cart I have at work and needed something bigger until I can get the krsc43 or 46 I want and he'll take it back for what I paid when I trade it in on one.

That's the compressor I have at my NC home that ran for 4 weeks non-stop when the tubing from the tank to the manifold cracked. Make sure to turn it off if unattended for extended periods and check the tubing for hardness and cracking. SD

Thanks for the tip. I never leave my compressors on when I'm not in the shop.

By some stroke of luck today I ended up getting shipments from three different tool purchases I made recently :willy_nil

Black friday purchase I splurged and got the rainbow PB Swiss hex keys from PBTools. Wanted these ever since I saw them on a tool blog a while back, the black friday sale was the excuse I needed to pick them up :). In retrospect I should have saved a little money and gotten the smaller "short" hex set that only went up to 6mm. I intended it to be a very compact set to go in a tool bag you can see adding the 8 and 10mm wrenches basically doubles the size.

Black Friday pickup from KC Tools: Knipex pliers and Wera screwdrivers. I wonder why the small Knipex pliers do not have Knipex written on the handles?? One of them came in a ziplock bag with Gedore on it the other came in a ziplock bag with Knipex on it neither have Knipex written on the handles

Also got Wera Screwdrivers to see what all the fuss is about. I like the handles also like the colors on the VDE versions :)

A couple backordered items from my SK day order came in from HJE, 3/8 XXL breaker and 20mm deep well 3/8 socket. Interestingly you can see here that the 20mm deep well socket I got is "deep broached", whereas my 19mm and below sockets are "shallow broached". I had received previously 21 and 22mm deep well 3/8 sockets from HJE and they are also deep broached. Does anybody know why this is, does anyone else have the same sockets to compare? My fractional deep well 3/8 sockets are all shallow broached even up to 1" the biggest size I have.

OK this last one did not actually come in today I caved and bought it from Home Depot this weekend while picking up some other things. Milwaukee M12 3/8 ratchet. I got in on the M12 fuel 3/8 impact wrench + free 1/4" ratchet deal last week (still on its way) but I wanted also the 3/8 because I have more socket sizes in 3/8 also I have impact sockets in 3/8 so they are probably better compatible with the powered ratchet. Still a little on the fence about keeping it.

Referring to the 2015 SK catalog, page 42, on their extra deep chrome 3/8 metric sockets, the broaching changes from 0.40 inches deep on their 19mm socket part#8419 to 1.87 inches deep on their 20mm socket part# 8420. It increases to 2.12 inches deep on their 21 and 22 mm deep sockets, and increases to 2.18 inches deep for 23-26mm sockets. Whereas, you noted their SAE deep sockets are broached much less with the 1 inch socket only being broached 0.50 inches deep. It's just the way SK makes them. You would have to ask SK why there's a difference
I wouldn't worry too much as you'll probably never use a 20 mm deep socket for anything other than filling a peg on a socket holder. Colorful and Great Additions though!!!

I have some smaller Knipex that only have Knipex on the handle. I think it is just a flip of the coin on the smaller, non-comfort grip handles...model dependent. :dunno:

My Gearwrench ratcheting puller set came in today

It feels like a quality set and made in Taiwan not China. It was one of the only sets I could find that fit my needs and was still in my price range.

What makes that ratcheting? I think thats the set I've been thinking about picking up.

The arms have teeth on them that ratchet with the body so they stay in place instead of flopping around like a conventional jaw puller. They are also quick disconnect so you can change them for a different configuration fast and easy.

A part # on the gearwrench ratcheting puller set, please.

The set I got with the 2 ton and 5 ton puller is #3627. They also make a set that's just the 5 ton puller with an extra set of long arms.

Some stuff from this week and last. Lowes had 50% off of this display fan so I couldnt resist.

And my order from the Cripe 20% off deal. For USA stubby wrenches these couldn't be beat for the price. And, the little snap lock wrench rack comes out of the packaging and has the sizes on it. I was very impressed with that!

Don't have any yet as it was a bare tool sale and wanted to give it a quick try. you must be talking about XC 4.0 battery correct?

The XC 4.0 is so 2014. They make the XC 5.0 these days. :)

Check out the Home Depot for a big battery set. I purchased a kit with a 4.0 battery and a LED light for ~$99 last year.

After trying to remove a left rear brake caliper bracket with an impact and running into the muffler, I wondered why I didn't have some of these:

Also added the tray to get free shipping from Amazon.

I picked these up a couple months ago while on promo for $58 but didn't get a chance to use them till this week. They work great and are not as delicate as my other shorter set. I don't buy to much Matco these days and I don't know who makes them for them but I would recommend.

Some of my new stuff:

1. 1/4 hex bit holder bought from Lee Valley $15 shipped
2. 3 Sanp-On red ratcheting screwdrivers (all converted to accept the soft grip shanks. I have 2 more red ones in my 1/4 drive drawer that are converted to hold sockets.)
3. Mac Tools Spinner T-Handle for hex bits.

How do you mod the screwdrivers? Instructions please:beer:
