Bought my first ever Snap-On anything so relegated the the old tools to the background.

The boxes are from X-Treme Bullets with the tops cut off. They are some heavy duty cardboard.

Nice collection of Wiha precision drivers. I'm a huge fan of precision tools. Wiha makes a beautiful selection of stuff.

Thanks. They are nice thats for sure. I had been using a cheap set i picked up years ago for like 5 bucks. The Wiha's are so much nicer. Granted i dont use them much but it will still be nice to have them!

Nice, do you have the Snap-On part number for that set? Website takes forever to find anything.

The weras are very nice. I like them a lot so far. The wiha seem to be quality as well. Being less extreme on the grip they are a little more comfortable right off the bat to me. Weras are very nice though too. I expect both sets to get long time of use. [emoji1]

Interesting, how about the "bite" of the tips? That was one thing I REALLY loved about the Wera's I used at my old work. The laser treatment on the tips actually worked! It really helped the tips grab and bite into even stripped screws. Trying to make up my mind if I want to buy the Wera's or try out the Wiha's for my home use.

It was the first thing I tried out. The weras will stay in the screw horizontally without me holding it. The wihas don't. I don't know if it is because they are insulated and made for a different purpose? They are quality for sure but don't grip like the weras.

I assume you're referring to the x head screws/drivers. I didn't say philips because there is another standard previously known as JIS. That is what is used on all Japanese and many other screws today. It is very similar to "Posidrive" on a lot of older European stuff. The fit, along with the angle is one of the characteristics of that head. I bought mine from kctools as they are pretty much the only supplier I could find. They are essential for working on Japanese stuff like my car and motorcycle.

I whole heartily agree. When I bought my set I didn't think it'd work all that great but thought I'd give them a try. It works so well, it's actually very impressive. I've been a Klein screw driver guy for 30 years, in the shop I rarely ever grab them anymore, always the Weras now.

Hit a few pawn shops up today and came back with some stuff for the home garage. dab8f99e57b43327251bd248d3a14ab3.jpg470b724d0c31c3191bdc0e28aacf5b45.jpg.
Pretty stoked on the Silver Eagle set, need to order a 10mm and a 12mm socket to replace the random Craftsman ones that it came with. $120 for the gun and $100 for the sockets/wrenches.

I've lurked long enough. Over the last month or so i've gotten quite a few new tools. Mainly stuff I found on sale for Black Friday, or some local store scores as well as Harbor Freight.

I'm a big fan of the Pittsburgh Pro ratchets. The Husky sockets are just replacements for lost sockets to fill my sockets rails which mainly consists of USA Craftsman.

The picture will everything on the floor is a bunch of tools I got for free from a good friend who is moving out of state. The wrenches to the bottom left are Snap On and Matco.Various Impact sets, two Craftsman sets, and 3 Snap On sets. Few Harbor Freight Pro things, and a bunch of older AutoZone (Ampro) sockets as well as USA Craftsman. Also a few power tools and some older IR air tools. I can get more pics of the free tools later once my new box arrives and I get everything in place where I want it.

Hi Dookie,
I just spoke with Snap-on, via online chat. They say the product is new and not on their site. I guess not surprising given the state of that thing with so many missing pictures, details, etc.

Anyway the part # is: 246AFSM

I just trimmed off the ends of the plastic case and put it in the draw for now. I'm not expecting it to last too long. I like the way it lines up the socket sizes though :)

I was going to post in your other thread but I'll say it here. I put some cheap casters from Home Depot on my press and it doesn't rock or anything. It makes it convenient to move and store yet doesn't cost much.

Thanks for that!

The hammer and Techangle were on promo, and the socks/shirt/Twizzlers(already eaten) were freebies.

Built the caster and leveling frame for the base. Allows me to place the mill anywhere in the garage and level it.
