Just picked up the Craftsman pry bars, ratcheting metric wrenches, Dewalt circular saw, and a Ryobi miter saw. I had originally planned on getting the Dewalt miter, but changed my mind. :bounce:

Scores this awesome Dotco angle grinder and some metal working, reaming and grinding bits as well. I drilled a 2x4 out to put them in. I'm pretty stoked. Never used a Dotco tool before.

Picked these up on Friday at Tractor supply. For the price I thought I would give them a try. Will prob use them for welding, dirty work.

I got a 5 piece set of those locking pliers a while back at Tractor Supply. So far, I am very pleased with them. Even compared to USA Vise Grips.

Let me say again, so far.

This isn't a new tool arrival post "yet" but just a heads up and FYI.

My local Menards carries a LOT of knipex stuff. Was kinda surprised to see them. Wasn't sure that was a thing.

I finally got to play around with a few pliers etc in different sizes. Now I really can't decide which to get.

Sure appreciate the offer. Not for sale, as it is smoother and way easier to control variable speeds with it than my IR grinder!
The thing is a real nice and super smooth. Think it's about 20yrs old too!

If they have them get the Knipex Pliers Wrench. It's a really useful tool. Also are Knipex on sale right now or you just noticed them at Menards? I haven't been in since the new sales started. I might head there this afternoon. Now that I've got my M12 bandsaw I can finally get some Unistrut in the Jetta.

have you done any cutting with it yet? Curious to see how well it works. I kinda want a cordless circ saw but I don't have any 18v tools. I like the FUEL cordless saw but its a lot more money.

Fwiw... I have the 18v dewalt saw and its worthless. You can cut for about 15 minutes and the battery is dead.

I also have their 36v and its a lot better but rather too expensive.

Got both saws as payment for a restored 3 slot payphone I did.

If someone only needs to cut 2x material they could grab the M12 Fuel circular saw. Once you start collecting M12 tools you are overrun with batteries and chargers and they only take like a half hour to charge. I think I could cut indefinitely with mine just by swapping batteries.

I only cut some small stuff with it Saturday, was very happy with it. Planning on building a workbench this week so it'll get some use then. The only issue I can see is I only have two of the 1.3ah batteries that came with my drill. I need to get one or two bigger ones. But I knew I needed a bigger one when I got the 1/2 impact wrench

I wonder how those Knipex electrician's pliers compare to the Craftsman model.

Does knipex make craftsmans electrician pliers??

That craftsman plier pictured isn't a pair of electrician pliers. They're only a limited production of a pair of long nose slip joint pliers. The craftsman pliers have no cutter, no crimper, and no provision for striping wire.

Knipex doesn't make Craftsman electrician pliers if there was such a pair of pliers.

well, today, I went to HD and bought a Husky tool chest and some tools. My company gives us a tool allowance annually. So, ... I used it!

didn't take pics before I went to work to drop off said goodies. so there will be no pics since we are not allowed to take pics on company property. nothing fancy...here's the tool box setup.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-41...ool-Cabinet-Set-Black-HOTC4116B1QES/205080371

and some pipe wrenches.

The reason I went with that Husky (not my fave brand for boxes) is because HD was offering the ProX program and if you bought today, ya get 20% off Husky stuff. WOOT! so I jumped on it. I was really wanting a Milwaukee box but they were sold out and I didn't feel like ordering. Plus, I so love having something in my hands NOW!!!!!

This arrived today. Never used one but wished I had one a few times instead of jamming a screwdriver thru the filter

Well, since the house is empty for a little while, I figured now would be a good time to take pictures without fear of being complained at for how much I spent, and how I could've bought low quality tools to get me through class, and then bought better stuff once I was done. However, I believe in "Buy once, cry once." so I went with what I think will work for both class and once I get a job.

I'll be starting automotive classes at my community college in the fall, so that's why most stuff is still in packaging and not yet in my box. I'm waiting on word from my instructor to whether or not the locker dimensions are the same at both campuses, since he gave me dimensions for the campus I'm not going to, but not dimensions for the one I am going to, which is why I haven't started customizing my box, in case I need to return it.

Plus, I figured just in case something happens, insurance will want proof that things actually existed, so that was another reason to take pictures.

Everything boxed up for storage right now, that's my rolling tool box at the back. The student lockers aren't too big, and my car doesn't have a lot of room to keep a giant tool box in it every day and then bring it back and forth to class, so I'll just keep my box in the provided lockers.

Pliers, extensions, line wrenches, feeler gauge set, battery hydrometer.

Hammers, funnels, inspection mirrors, magnet pickup tool, plastic scrapers, oil filter wrenches, and my digital air chuck.

Still have a long ways to go, but not a bad haul for ~$700.

Those gearwrench line wrenches are great. I'm very happy with mine. Looks like a great start you have there. Best of luck.

TK-421, is that a Lisle battery brush. I have looked around and the ones I am finding have no bristles on the end, and therefore will serve no useful purpose to me. How is the Lisle? I tend to see the same ones from China in different packaging.

Nice take upgrading...appears you found three simple, highly useful, quality tools!

The Lisle is available on Amazon and not that much. When I bought one last it was made in the USA and has the inside and outside brushes. One is just covered with the cap in the picture posted.

Most recent stuff I got. Pressure tester is from amazon $69.
Line wrenches I scored on eBay for 80 bucks.
Extensions were on promo for $89
