I'm drooling. Also, did you get that bucket of Spax screws from HD? I've never seen them sold in that large of a quantity.

Going to cross post from toolbox thread because I am so happy. My first snap on box. Seller was asking $650, I offered $415 and just picked it up. Needs a good cleaning and sticker removal but overall am very happy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455233023.108137.jpg

One of my biggest gripes with Snap-On impact swivels has been solved. New product, RIPFM low profile impact swivels. They chopped about a 1/2" off the height across all sizes comparative to their standard impact swivels so these are basically on par with the pinless now. Its not just taken out of the socket end either, they shrunk the collar. I think a lot of guys will sell off their regulars for these.

SK 1/4 set. Used from Amazon 3rd party seller for $70.00 shipped. Look to never been used, ratchet looks like it never had a socket on it.

Seem like I'm buying more tools now that I no longer work on cars professionally.

The first application I can think of is the 17mm for Subaru brakes. These will work well with bolts but doubt they'll be any good for nuts. The collar doesn't look any smaller to me, can you do a comparison shot?

Nothing wrong with owning both sets!!

Had the Tekton wrenches ordered and they showed up today. Went into Sears today and saw the Gearwrench sets for $30 a piece. Kind of an impulse buy but they'll get used.

Gearwrench Long Mini pick & hook set. Part#84010, 8 piece set, nice assortment of points, blades are about 6 inches long, have a knurled area forward of the bimaterial trilobal handle, blades are chrome plated alloy steel, and are fixed into the handle to prevent turning during use. Made in Taiwan.

Got a few Astro goodies on Woot this week.
A inner tie rod remover and a valve stem tool with a grabber so the valve does not go flying across the shop.

Completely forgot that I got two 1/2" thin wall deep impact sockets off the Snap On truck. I have a Grey Pneumatic set of thin walls and my 19 & 22 both cracked. GP's thin walls are not covered under their warranty. I honestly cannot recommend GP's thin walls. I have a set of their protective sleeve sockets and their regular 1/2 deep sockets. So far, I have no complaints about those sets though.

Mayhew Dominator picks, two different sets, the 60000 and 60008, Mayhew Dominator prybars, the 61355 set, OTC 5961 Drain Plug PRO tool kit, ATD 1105 antifreeze tester, K Tools 4 piece putty knife set, and OTC 2423 blow gun. Not shown are an SK Screwdriver set, an Innovative Tools SS-1 Super Scraper, and a GearWrench 1 1/8" ratcheting wrench I got to fill an empty space in my wrench roll.

Almost forgot, the small black box on the right side of the picture is my new set of DieHard jumper cables, though the black box is way too cramped and I'll soon get a bag to put them in, that way I don't have to fight tooth and nail to get them back into that tiny box.

Appreciate the response. I just picked up the M12 1/4 12V ratchet and I'm pretty happy with it so I might as well stick with the series.

I've read that they can be too bulky compared to DeWALT but other than that they both seem to be very popular with high ratings.

If you have not used a lot of different brands, then you won't even know if one is better or worse. I think the M18 lineup is here to stay and Milwaukee is heavily investing in it. The fact that they have chargers that do both 12 and 18 volt batteries makes the decision even easier. The icing on the cake is the fuel gauge on the batteries.

My co-worker friend has the DeWALT DCK240C2 package that I've tried so it's the Milwaukee that I'm not familiar with. I was looking at the Makita line too but think Milwaukee is the more popular choice, though it's based on personal preference.

Very true. Those features are definitely nice to have. Plus, it's 40% off right now. Sounds like a no brainer now. Just wanted a second opinion. Thanks again!
