What 3/8 kit ? I didn't think there was one offered for the 72 series so-called dual 80 ?
Even if there was this model has a different assembly screw position than the TLL72 does so I'd bet there's no kit for it and probably never will be.

Grabbed these US made Kobalt screwdrivers from Lowe's. They were on clearance for like a $ off a piece so not a huge deal but when I picked them up I was surprised so I grabbed a couple.

They are actually pretty comfortable and solid feeling. Remind me of the black Snap-on hard handles.[/QUOTE]

They look staunch. The contours of the handles look like a Cornwell model.

I'm not sure how rugged they are yet. I've not tried striking them but they feel pretty solid.

Does Cornwell make a very square screwdriver like these? I've never seen them before.

Are you finding them to hold up well?

I'm contemplating going back and getting the rest but they're still a little pricy even on clearance. These two were about 6$ a piece. The remaining larger flat and phillips are 8$ and 10$ each, and the two smaller flat head and one smaller phillips are 5$ each.

This is my haul for the last week. Some snap on goodies. Bought the s80a off eBay after the local snap on guy quoted me a price higher than web. Not sure why but would buy from him after that. Even his cash price was more than web. Guess he didn't like random walk ups.

Got the SAE line wrenches of Craigslist. New in packaging for 60. Great deal. Then I HAD to order some metric ones too. Also from eBay.

This showed up today. Used, but for the money I'm not going to complain. Works great and having the recoil absorbed by the tool is pretty nice. Seems to hit hard. Atlas rivet hammer/gun.

Rrh12p-NPT. I believe it's a older one? Thinking I should get a extra retainer spring for it. I think I gotta get it directly through Atlas Copco though. I figured I'd pick up this one and see how I liked it before I went for something else (for the money I couldn't go wrong). Honetly I'm not sure, I think it's actually a 4x possibly? (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). So far I love it. We'll see just how much I love it come Monday.

New Bruske brush for $25 at Princess Auto. Really looking forward to using it. Feels really really well made, and in the few sweeps I used it for tonight, the center being void of bristles seams to work really well.

American made from what looks like a good old honest company.

What's the point of the center void?

Sent via homing pigeon on methamphetamines

Supposed to prevent the broom from "loading up", and essentially have two sweeping edges.

I don't know about the two sweeping edges part, but i did notice that when I swept and then lifted the broom, there was no pile of dust left like some fully bristled brooms will leave from the middle portion.

Gonna put it through its paces tomorrow.

Cool. I wouldn't mind having that feature. I would be worried that it wouldn't have stiff enough bristles, but it would be nice if it works well.

Was just at Lowes earlier today and didn't get the chance to look at these. Think I'll run by there tomorrow and check them out. Wouldn't mind the $20 set I saw online.

Let us know about these. I've been looking at picking up a few myself.

Maybe I'll swing back by and grab the larger slotted and try to use them on some brake/suspension work I've got coming up. Do you think these would be worthy of a video? I'm not really sure because at their base they are screwdrivers. People know how they work and also I'm wondering if maybe Lowe's is discontinuing them. I almost wonder if there was some way I could do a controlled destruction test of the various chiseldriver style screwdrivers to see which was toughest. Pit the Weras and the Felos against the Snap-ons and the HFs and these... Hmm...

And... saw this on sale at Lowe's for 9$ and thought "What the hell? I'll grab it".
tgFK6HI.jpg

AvE did a video canning it as useless. I thought I'd give it my own shot at the common tasks for a dremel and try using a cut off disc, a burr, a grinding stone, and cutting some drywall with it. I've already got a bigger corded dremel, and the ultimate power (Fein SuperCut AFSC18) so this is more just for fun.

Just got in from doing a full test of this thing... Waiting for the video to transfer now and then I have to edit it but let me say, AvE probably was too kind on it. I question how it ever got through initial research to being a released product. :dunno:

A trip to the local Ace Hardware for some amazing deals in this months flyer. Really like the grip on the new clamps too!

How can you criticize the size of another man's tool?

Easily. It's not kindergarten anymore where we are supposed to say nothing negative about anything and everything is lollipops n gumdrops.
Me saying I didn't like a specific tool that another member bought and giving specific reasons why I didn't like it is one of the main reasons why people come to this site. To get opinions and reviews.
I didn't call the guy an ******* and say his tool sucked....

If none of us gave our personal opinions and reviews on things.....well then this site wouldn't be much more than a trophy party and people would be buying a lot of tools that don't personally work best for them, wasting money and finding out the hard way.

What do you use those on? Suspension bushings? I've always wondered how effective hitting on rubber could be, last i replaced a control arm bushing i had to use a ball joint press it was so hard..

Had these in my hands a half dozen different times in the store before today.. Finally walked out of the store with them this morning. Under $21 before tax, after the 20% off coupon, can't beat it 38cacf5e031671115786565a9268e193.jpg

I think Strouty's making a play on words man. He's talking about "his tool".

As in the No.1 Mk. I Plaster Blaster.

Best wrenches I have ever used!
Got these at work and prefer them over the open box 13!
A real pleasure to work with.

Good to hear. I'm no longer using my tools professionally so not sure how much use I'll get but having the larger sizes included is what sold me on them. I've used craftsman pro(USA made) and snap on for many years so we'll see how these work out

Can't compare them with usa made tools since we don't see much of those here. :D

But from the european brands I liked those the most!

Went by today, there were a few of each on the shelf for around a buck off. Also was a 5 pack of China made ones that were made to look just like them.

I was temped to grab them, but just can't justify more screwdrivers at the moment.:lol_hitti

Picked up a 2 week old us general 72 off of craigslist for 700. I had posted a wanted ad for one and I got a reply this morning for it. The guy had bought it a few weeks ago for a new job then found out the place supplies boxes and had to sell it.
Will post another picture tomorrow once i fill it up, it will be replacing my two 44 inch boxes. I will try to do a before and after video for comparison of how much two 44 boxes hold vs one 72.

If it's an RRH12 that would make it a 7x gun. Is it a -ts version (trigger start)?

It does look to be in very rough shape ( Although it probably works fine). You will def need a new retaining spring, of which you will have to source from an Atlas copco dealer as they don't really deal with the public.

The other thing it looks as if it's missing both the fore grip tube which covers the barrel and the pistol grip cover/grip. Happy hammering :lol_hitti

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay as ( I own the same gun )
