re: Chinese fuses

maybe this is a stupid question, but when Buss fuses are readily available, why on earth would you put a wiring harness at risk with a Chinese fuse?

why? :dunno:

...Coming from China, I was sceptical on the quality of them, but I figured it would be a fun little experiment to see how close to the rated amperage they actually were...

There was no intent on putting it in a wiring harness. I thought I kinda explained that...

CL snips, and John Deere filter wrenches. Not sure but I think they're rebranded Lisle. U.S. made.

A few spare Artu multipurpose drill bits. These have really came in handy for drilling broken off rusted bolts. Can even drill through e-z out type removers too.

Flo-Tools funnel. Has already came in handy. Along with Lisle 43500. Could be really handy. But apparently machining wasn't right on this one. None of my U.S. made sockets will fit it. But the Taiwan and few China made ones will. Lisle is supposed to be sending be a new one.

Those cutoff tools are great. Mines been going for a couple of years now, without issue. Just make sure the breaker is pushed in all the way. Mine was stuck halfway and was sparking like crazy out of the box.

Are they American made? Also, nice Mk2 (VR6?), just looked at a Mk2 Cabby but it's tough to find one not rusted out or poorly maintained.

Hate to say it but they are Chinese made. Parted out that vr last year, wish I could have kept it. Had a mk1 cabby before that. I daily drove it with a leaky roof and no heat for a winter and got rid of it because it had been in an accident and the unibody was off enough that it diddnt go down the road straight.

I bought a new toy this week. Spent a day doing brake lines and found one bubble flare amongst the 15 flares I did, and it's one of those tools on that list....the ever growing tools needed list. So rather than spend money to buy a bubble flare kit and still rely on my trusty old double kit, I bought the mastercool hydraulic setup. A lot of coin but it is awesome.

Always liked the Martin body tools. Never had a source for them so most mine are snappy. Be careful those will cause an addiction!

Yeah, tell me about it... I'm not even a body guy (or a mechanic), ha, ha!

I bought them online BTW. Tooltopia.com. Pretty good pricing and fast shipping!

I'm a sucker for gadgets. At costco today I saw this new Snap-On light saber. The button on the top lights up the flash light part. The trouble light comes on automatically when you extend it. pretty bright LED!

Meh, it was 25 bucks.

Not really my new tool buy, but I help my friend pick up this vintage snap on kr661&691 combo for only $1700 and I even had tools! Really wanted to pick this up for myself but can't get them all.

He did let me have some tools out of it as a thanks for helping.

Does snap-on have 20mm and 23mm ratcheting spanners? They are not known to skip sizes.....

So I have to ask, why would you spend that kind of money for a size that never gets used?. Just wondering.

Over the past week I've been mine everyday. They do not lack one once of HP, feel good in the hand and don't even get all that cold after extended run times. I wondered if the weight of the unit would bother me when doing a long operation, but it actually makes the task easier as it tends to remain a bit more stable then my liter ones. And for the price these got bought at, it was a deal and a half.
