I bought a green one on Craigslist 2 years ago and ended up selling it for what I bought it for because I never used it. I found myself more comfortable and using a piece of rubber mat more often. A creeper just puts you too high off the ground and limits your clearance
You may have it for a better application than me tho

Today was a good day for tool acquisitions.

While browsing around at HD saw the M12 vacuum and started thinking it'd be a lot nicer than wheeling out the shopvac and uncoiling eveyrthing to vacuum up a little saw dust from one small operation. Waffled on it for a while until the GF just put it in the cart and away we went.

In addition, my Mighty-Max came from TC! It's so beastly. Of course fantastic quality as always and I love the blue color. I think it's my favorite of the TC options other than the white like the Buddy Blaster which isn't really available on any other hammers. TC also included a bonus item. Best guess as to what it is wins a free boat! *Contest will not be honored*

My scope came today too. I've wanted a DSO for years and finally splurged on one with my VW gift card for the emissions fraud. I'm still trying to figure out the crazy chinese software to hook it up to my computer and capture the screen but so far it seems pretty cool. I will unlock the secrets of the Milwaukee chargers...

I use them a lot on hydraulic cylinders. When I rebuild them a lot of times the threads on the ram I find are pretty roughed up

Do these have a problem with the tips drying up? Majority of paint markers I've got tend to dry up making them useless.

What brand(s)have you been using? I like Uni oil based paint markers with medium tips. I have one that is at least 4-5 years old and the tip is perfect on it. I'm always surprised there is still paint left in it as I've marked tons of car parts with it for assembly orientation, labeling, etc.

Got this just because. 1/2" drive on one side and 3/8" on the other and a hammer.

What's so special about that? All of my ratchets double as hammers as well....

I'm jealous on the 'scope. I've been eye'ing them for a while but haven't found a good enough reason to splurge yet.

They can be pretty reasonably priced. In particular the Rigol 1040Z which is what nearly everyone buys these days. This one's a different one though, I thought I'd give it a shot. Hopefully I'll get some good use out of this one and wont have ended up throwing the money away.

Finally got me a mag drill with the swivel base, almost brand new for a good price, (under 600 otd). Showed up and the safety light was non op, but mag worked fine. Found a bad capacitor and the drill was just out of warranty. Luckily my buddy works for an authorized hougen repair facility. Needed a new circuit board and was common on the new 904 model. Got it done under warranty anyway .

Now I'm not so hard pressed for a drill press. Just need lots of cutters and a standard drill bit chuck adaptor.

My battery tender finally took a dump after 10 years of service so I wanted to try the CTEK 4.3 which is both a charger and a maintainer. It had great reviews and is working good for me so far.



I also go this craftsman rethreader MIT after all of the positive posts on the forum. I have used it atleast 5 times since I got it, and has worked flawlessly. It was a great purchase!

ebay after searching for a while for a new or like new 904 swivel model. I almost went with new but waitied a bit longer and got this for almost half price. I was quote about 950 otd for a this same one with through my friends distributor. I do have the coolant bottle and coolant arbor setup for it as well. just need to install it .

I have used the **** out of my milwaukee mag drill at work and use it alot for drilling truck frames. Thats what made me want the swivel base. It doesnt turn a whole lot but if it did , i cant see it being quite as stable so with correct positioning this thing is very versatile. I have also used the compact hougens and they are great for tight spots, like between truck frames.

This one is for my home shop and will do up too a 1.5" hole and 2" D.O.C.

I have a few cutters already but not all of them (1.5,1.25,1,11/16,7/8,3/4,5/8) most of them are all 2" as well. Ill see how much different this one is than the milwaukee.

There are some nice advantages on this one i will say, i love the pilot led light on the mag base , i also like the saftey switch. Which will cut power as soon as it looses contact at the base . You can leave the handle on the drill when storing it in the case. Tons of pros vs the milwaukee so far.

IIRC from when I worked auto parts, Gates rebrands the Stant set. So, that is most likely a Stant tester.

FWIW, I've some of their stuff (1/2"DR. ratchet & sockets), and am quite happy with it.

Seems well made, including the finish. Bearing down on it with a handle attachment that came with the ratchet (Bust-A-Bolt), didn't damage the tools or fasteners (seized fasteners on a mower).
