Yes sir, I was excited to find those as well. They cost like $5 and only work with the 10'' Cobra pliers.

By coincidence i just bought a 10" pair of Cobras. I need to find these now as i have a number of uses for them. Saves me buying Canon Plug pliers.

Some very nice pliers you have there! I have a couple pairs of the Pliers Wrench and was surprised at just how good they are. I knew they were good, but using them on stuck tie rod lock nuts lately they do remarkably well.

You should get the Cobra XLs too, they're awesome.

I had some old jaw covers and I just tossed them because they would not stay on my cobras, now I will have to pick me up some of those!

RolGear gearless ratcheting screwdrivers. MADE IN CANADA!

These are unbelievably smooth. ZERO drag back. I'll be doing a small review, but these are unreal. The 4" has a smaller handle than the 6". The 4" lists for 12 bucks and the 6 for 16 at lee valley.

Just got my MDS order today. 16" Cobra XLs and Knipex Mini set. Grabbed the XLs after using my buddy's. Been wanting the mini set, but so far not sure on them. Seems it would've been better if both were the same size, not the 5" Cobras and 6" Plier wrench (or even if the two sizes were swapped).

Nice set! The XL's look beast! I need a pair. Yeah the mini's are odd sized, I wised they were both 6 in. But then I have the 7 in plier wrench so it seems too close to justify the purchase. Either way more Knipex is always a good thing

"ihateminimumwage" and "Moose-LandTran",

Which home or auto repair tasks do you use the 16" Cobra XLs on? Please be specific on the auto's make and model when these pliers are used for repairs.

Thanks,

Dave

I finally got tired of cheap battery cables that have clamps that break after a year or two. I have been wanting a good battery cable crimping tool so I can make up my own cables and properly replace bad cable clamps. A few years ago I came upon a good blog on making up marine grade battery cables and finally broke down and purchased a FTZ 94284 crimp tool.
http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/battery_cables

I had considered a Chicom hydraulic tool but their dies are really metric spec rebadged with AWG numbers that are not correctly sized.

I found 2 places with the best price,
http://baymarinesupply.com/store/ftz-lug-crimp-tool.html
http://www.kljack.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=ET50116&catlist=260

I chose KL Jack as they where closest to me and received the tool within a couple of days even with basic ground shipping.

Now I get to make cables for 3 tractors and repair some cable ends on 2 vehicles. The local automotive electrical supply house near me stocks quality 'Quick Cable' brand products and even gave me a catalog with all the specs.

Same thing I thought. Seems 6" would make more sense, but already have the 7" I use regularly.

I work on generators, so their main use will be with gas pipe, as well as larger seized conduit end fittings. Lighter and quicker than a pipe wrench.

Would be useful with trucks or equipment, but they'd be pretty damn big for automotive use.

Thank You!

Yes it's all brand new and unused.

All the Knipex cost me about $255 US

To give you some idea I paid $240 AUS for the first knipex and the mini bolt cutter. That's great value you got. I looked at that Chadds toolbox you linked up. Definitely looking through their range.

On another note, bought some leads for my scope and powerprobe gear. Silvertronics is the brand. It's my second set of theirs I have. Seem like real good quality.

Oh and yeah, I'm educated on what these do. Lol

I have both of those, I want a 22" pliers wrench.

Me too. That would be awesome.

"ihateminimumwage" and "Moose-LandTran",

I can't think of any specific things off-hand, but mostly i use mine for pushing brake pistons back in calipers, removing stuck oil filters (where space allows), chaning diesel filters (Paper element in plastic housing), holding propshafts to loosen coupling bolts.

The 22" ones get a bit of use holding cam pullies when loosening/tightening the centre bolts, among the same tasks as the 16".

I wouldn't say i particularly need them, but like many tools, once you have them you'll find uses for them.

Lol yes for 15 I couldn't say no. The two sets up front are different. One set is picks the other seal pullers. The ones I just bought were duplicates just differnt in color that will probably come home to my home box.

Put in an online order yesterday for a set of SAE Wrenches (4 Pieces) and two sockets that were not in my 3/4 Drive Socket set. I was missing a 13/16 and a 7/8. Ordered from Gray Tools. hopefully they will be in my hands soon.

are these made by facom? :headscrat nice to see someone likes the good old RH

Kind of. These are the Facom design but they are made in Italy by USAG. They are all under the Stanley umbrella. Mac has (maybe still) this style available as well.

I really like them. I've had a lot of ratchets and these are some of the nicest I have owned.

I'm a computer consultant, and my job sometimes entails taking apart computers or other hardware. I replaced my crappy screwdrivers with Wera and Wiha (Wera doesn't appear to make pentalobe drivers yet). I purchased an inexpensive pencil roll on Amazon to keep them all together.
