Needed something more powerful to crush the crush washer on my new rear end so I went out and some how came home with this. It did the job.

Bit late now, but you should never crush a pinion sleeve with an impact. Having said that, great choice of impact!

You're all set to take out some Cat oil drain plugs. I always use an impact to get them loose. Just don't use the impact to tighten it. :eek7:
I normally use a socket and breaker bar for those. My boss saw online (Facebook no less) that balls ( for towing) wear out. So he wants the entire fleet's changed out. So I'll have some good old fun with the impact. I tried to talk some sense in to him but he believes everything he sees on the internet.

Why not it takes like 300-400 ft lbs to crush one. **** doing that by hand.

Because with an impact once you get near to the rotational resistance you need you can fly past it very easily. A 3/4" torque wrench and a bit of flat bar drilled to the yolk flange is the correct way to do it, just a tiny bit of turning at a time then check rotational resistance with a dial torque wrench until you get it spot on. Impacts are just too aggressive for the job and way too easy to fly past the correct setting.

hope to find some use for the wera, but loved that tiny thing, can see myself using on furniture, since I had a hard time working on the baby's nursery furniture with normal size tools!

Get yourself a pen mandrel and make a few pens! Me and many of my fellow pen makers started out on HF lathes just like yours! Careful, it's a slippery slope and soon you'll be in for a few thousand in various equipment!

And not sure if this really counts as a tool, but this has made hot days infinitely more bearable. Moves a lot of air pretty quietly.

We have a lot of those at work, lots of them have had the ears break off where the bracket is where you hand tighten to adjust the angle

Just got these from Amazon, they are a gift for my brother. He has no tools, so I thought they would be handy for him to keep in his truck for when he is away from my box.

Read lots of good reviews and things about Tekton's ratchet/socket sets and he's going to love them.

Damn I love Nepros but I just can't justify their prices. The attention to detail is awesome. Ko-ken will do for now.
