Picked up an older Black & Decker work stand at a yard sale for 3$. Seems to be very stout, as it has a 350# capacity. It will be handy for restoring vises.

Thanks for posting this, I have been wanting a fender cover for a while but for some reason I've never thought to look for one at Sears until now. I've let the last couple free points promotions and points back coupons pass me by because I couldn't find anything left that I needed/wanted to buy with them.

Now I have two brand new (still US made hopefully) fender covers on their way, paid for using a few bucks out of pocket, some existing Sears points that were about to expire anyways, and a $15 in points back promo code. Several dollars in surprise points even tossed themselves into the mix as well. I can't complain about that.

That's awesome

I have wanted one for a long time but I was too cheap to buy one for $17. There was nothing else in the store I wanted for less than $50 so this was perfect. I was amazed at all of the crappy gimmick tools they had in the $20 range, but I could never see myself buying one of those.

Here are the new tool arrivals from the last couple weeks:

Lowe's

LENOX 13-Piece Bi-Metal Hole Saw Kit (Model# 1786647); (Made in the U.S. with Global Components)

This hole saw kit (item# 348755) is on sale (labeled a "special value" in the sales ad) until 7/6/16 for $69.98. I ordered it online and used the $10 off $50 promotion code generated by the website "Renovopower": LINK. The code generated worked the first time. I paid for the set (with tax) $63.88. This is a huge savings over Amazon: LINK.

Dave

Dave, that's quite a haul, and more importantly thanks for the Lowes coupon link. They actually have a $15 off of $50 coupon now so I bought the Lenox hole saw set. I didn't really need one but still a good replacement for the cheap HF ones

A few months back someone posted about this tool creeper that wasn't quite yet released. I finally remembered about it last week and looked up their website and it was finally in production so i picked one up! Pretty happy with the quality of it be5a30cfe1b48e78384b73ea6de51c89.jpg

I had $12.00 in free surprise points that were going to expire yesterday so I picked this up last night:

The register wasn't accepting my points even though it showed them as valid :dunno: I ended up buying it on my phone and carrying it up to the register. The whole process was annoying, but it ended up costing me $5.07 out the door so I can't complain too much.

I hope this will be nicer than using a blanket or towel. I've never had a fender cover before.

Do you have any more pictures of the fender cover? How is the back side of the cover, soft enough to protect the paint? For the price it looks very nice. I have been looking for a fender cover for my garage but anything I have been able to find has been around $45 and I am having a hard time spending that kind of money on one.

Bob, I will take a picture later. The back seems soft and scratch free. There is a padded/soft feel to the cover, and the outside has a plastic/slick surface for easier clean off.

Went to a family reunion this weekend, there was a silent auction to raise money...

I bid on this Mystery basket at and got it!! I could see it had a led flashlight and a Screwdriver in it!!

New to me tools. Another aircraft mechanic was selling off some wrenches (retirement) and I snagged the flare nut set (MAC Tools) for $50. I asked him if he was willing to trade the angle wrenches (also MAC Tools) for a telescope, he agreed. He threw in the 1/2" drive socket set for free.

Those angle wrenches are dead ****

Finally got a chance to take some pictures.

Here is the cover:

Front side has a dull vinyl type feel:

The back side seems more glossy:

This is the thickness:

Overall it seems like it will work well. I can't complain for $5.

CL score for $80. Like new in the box.

That was a deal. I love mine, doesn't beat ya up like cheaper ones. Did have it rebuilt once, I think it was my buddy's shady air setup. Using it at his house and went to pick it up later and was locked up. But it has been used and abused for years. No regrets on that one.

Picked this up from Home Depot. Regular 499.00, had it advertised for 299.00 and I used 10% off lowes coupon.

Guy giving away tools from a box. I only need the snips and offset wrench. Most the stuff was initialed so of little interest to collectors. He had a pile of snap on stuff but can only carry so much on flight. Husky ratchet is very vintage

Ebay grab during a promo last Friday. Wanted the MAC colors but street price with discount made the Proto one $125 less. Played with it a little bit today and wow does this thing have balls. BIG improvement compared to my 3/8 M7 quiet one. Unlike the M7 this Proto easily puts standard 3/8 impacts to shame while also being smaller. Keeper for sure.

I wanted torque and recently got the M7 1/2" super shallow impacts so I went with the
J150WP-M.

If you wanted 3/8 then J138WP-M.

Just got this today. Man is this thing heavier and way bigger than I was expecting. Sure is nice though. Got the bare tool instead of the kit because my local home depot doesn't stock the kits, and I can't use a 20% off harbor freight coupon on online purchases, but this particular home depot lets me use them on purchases I make in the store. So I walked out of there, tax and all, for $30 less than the price on the shelf. I'd consider that a pretty good deal.

Add in the fact that 5.0 batteries on eBay are half the cost of the ones in Home Depot, and I should be able to put together a full kit, with 5.0 batteries instead of 4.0 batteries like in the kit, for about 75% of what the kit costs.
