Everything in the photo is USA. Im especially happy with the crescent duckbill pliers for $4 a pair.

Is the krsc really that much bigger than the hf 42 or is that just the perspective playing tricks on me? I've never seen the two of them side by side.

That pic has the two boxes about 2 feet apart front to back. And krcs is not as wife but maybe 4" taller. But with all the drawers full width it's bigger. Before I had to use 2 full drawers for all my wrenches. Now I can fit them all into one single drawer 66eac684e07a941a603bc3f74b881ac0.jpg

I was in Peoria last Saturday. Where (and what) is HJE?

Harry J Epstein's is (sadly) not a local place around Peoria. It's a tool store in KC Missouri. Every so often they do an event with those of us on GJ highlighting some USA made tools. Here's a link to the thread for the most recent event:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329834

As for tool stores here in Peoria there's not much... Haggerty and CNH Supply are the two here. Haggerty is nice enough but their prices are pretty steep and their selection of hand tools is pretty limited. Mostly Blackhawk. CNH Supply has tons of Wright tools and a gigantic selection but are insanely over priced. I understand not being able to hit the prices Amazon charges but some of the stuff I asked about was 2x+ the Amazon price. For a 250$ set of wrenches that's going far beyond supporting local businesses.

Got what I consider a golden gem at harbor freight today for $16 bucks. These are way cheaper than what any others run and last awhile.

Even without a coupon or a sale, the step bits are one of the best values in the store. The cost of an Irwin bit never seems to justify its performance.

New design of snapon zero degree offset ratcheting wrenches. Oxrm710 and oxr707. They came with a light up vintage looking clock. Forgot to take a picture of the clock.

I made jeffmoss jealous! Personal victory!

Seriously you have to check it out some time, it's not THAT far from The Cleve. a screwdriver man such as yourself will surely find something to make it worth the trip.

I hate zero offset ratcheting wrenches. For the seldom times I need one I find a cheap flex head GEARWRENCH to be sufficient.
Was there a good deal on them??

Yea I think it was a decent deal. I had been using craftsmans for YEARS, the zero-degree was my go-to. I rarely ever use my reversibles, dont know why. I guess the zero degree is what I started with, and always reach for. Snap-on man let me trade in the old craftsman set for 100 bucks towards my purchase, and got the free clock.

We made those hammers, really, without GJ, those hammers would not exist.

Yeah, but where is the glow in the dark version?

What's cool is the fact that Trusty Cook actually sought our input and produced hammers in most of the colors we asked for.

So you should almost have a rainbow colored hammer collection by now:D

I picked this up in trade. It needs a top made for it and needed a really good cleaning but it'll serve me well now.

I'll take a pic against works non locking craftsman stubby, OAL of this Napa one is pretty short. I bought a non flex stubby Napa a week ago and it's bigger/longer than the flex version.

Cman, Carlyle 60th sealed stubby, Carlyle 3/8 72th, Carlyle 1/4 72th.

Thank you. Was hard to judge in the original pic!

All made in the USA except the Tiger press which is from Canada

Bearing race tool, slack adjuster pin press, brake anchor pin press, and figured I'd try the Trusty cook dead blows out since they seem to be the in thing.

They came with a clock, when you buy tools and get a household item free value is relative is it not?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe you missed the ...And $100 trade in on my craftsman wrenches that probably wouldn't bring 40 bucks on here or eBay. Not everything from the truck can be bought as bogo or half off. $100 bucks for craftsman wrenches and a free clock (a pretty damn nice one too) i considered it a good buy. I've pretty much stopped buying from websites or GJ classifieds because I think the truck service is worth way more than a few bucks saved online.
