Hello everyone new to the forum and this is my first post. Just picked up this bad boy yesterday after using a Husky tool box for a little over a year

IMD, welcome to the forum and very nice box. There is another thread about showing off your toolbox. You'll get some great ideas in there about organization and storage. You'll get a little toolbox envy, too.

Wandering around turkey last week, and watching gumtree, and a facom r.360nano set came up for £65 plus postage. I already have the r2nano set, the first set i bought with the palm ratchet, and the rnano set with the sealed pear head ratchet.
So we haggled i wanted to pay £40 inc postage and we agreed on £45 plus £4.0 postage so as near as **** is to bum £50

So now have 3 sets think i might give one set to my apprentice as a gift for passing his 2nd year exams.

I bought a second Dynafile during the Zoro sale. I love these little machines!

I just had an Astro Onyx show up 1/2" x 18" to see how I like it. Not sure what you do but my main purpose will be grinding out spot welds in the auto collision trade, seems a lot of people like them for that. It was hard to stomach the cost of a 3m at $450 to see if I like it or not, but for less than $100 it was a no brainer. If it goes well I'm sure I will move on up to a Dynabrade or 3m.

I haven't tried the Astro, but I've used some of the cheaper imported bandfiles, they are OK but not quite as flexible. They're fine for strap polishing pipes, but the cheaper ones tend to chatter if you try to grind on the wheel or do any heavy material removal. I do a lot of autobody and fabrication work on a serious hobby basis, and this tool became an immediate favorite.

Good to know. Several people say it works well but they prefer the 3m. Like I said this was just to see how well it works for me. I primarily use a Spitznagel spot weld drill right now but others like the belt sander. It feels fairly nice but I haven't had a chance to use it as it just showed up today.

Found a Craftsman box full of tools on Gumtree for £5, and my friend who does demolition knocked down a college, got a bench and a load of Record vises.

Saved 2, the other 100 odd ended up in the scrap, huge waste all things considered.

Cleaned up a treat.

cool.

sliding top does not have pry bar holders on the side right?
Yes slides open to the sides and no pry bar holder. I liked it sonce the top is actually functional to do stuff on.

Ordered these bins for the drawers.

Happy accident. Had a box full of these bins. They fit the drawer well and are the exact height!

Just got this mini pallet jack for free. 5000 lb rating / US made.

Pumps up but leaks back down quickly.

Those records are highly coveted and usually sell for semi big money. I'd have snatched as many as I could before the wheels on my car rubbed...

Yep, what a waste, those QR wood vices are a £20 each plus post ebay item at a minimum, so someone just scrapped a couple grand, plus you can't get one any where near as good as them new hence the desirability. I paid over £50 for mine but it is the biggest size.

The vices were the least of the waste, part of the campus was only 3 years old, a 30000 sq ft purpose built HGV training workshop, although it did get taken down and go again as a factory.

Hey I've been lurking on these forums for about a month now. I stumbled in trying to find info on toolboxes. I'm an industrial mechanic that just relocated to eastern PA and I'm taking this chance to start fresh with a new box and all new tools. I sold 90% of my work stuff when I moved as my box wouldn't fit in the truck. So here's my new Gatorbuilt 55x25 rolling chest. There doesn't seem to be much information on these things anywhere beyond strictlytoolboxes where I bought it from. So any questions or anything feel free to send them my way.

I had some Customer Loyalty points to spend. The 2 Adjustable wrenches will replace 2 unbranded Chinese wrenches made from recycled tin foil. The Filter wrench might come in handy away from the shop. All are going in my truck box

Retired my old Benchmade after 10 years and bought a new Benchmade 940-2. Always in my pocket while working.

Wow that's a good looking box. Reminds me of a krl1022, and I really like the full width drawers. I'd love to hear some updates as it seems some shop use.
