Well I couldn't just let these get returned by my new dealer. As I mentioned last week, the corporate rep who was riding with our new Snappy guy ordered these for me. I had only mentioned that I had the SDDX70A set in orange, had seen all the new (old) colors and would probably like to have a set of Pearl Blue to just hang on to as a collectors item.

At almost $200 w/ tax though, I'm not sure I am going to keep them. Who knows, maybe I'll put them on the GJ Classifieds and pass them on to another Snap On fan. I did notice that the all of the other 8 colors are available on Snapon.com and Ebay but for some reason not the PB.

Hantek 6074BE scope...while I don't turn wrenches for a living any more, I still dabble with strange problem cars and diagnosis...it challenges me and I enjoy it. I wanted a pico, but for what I'm doing with it, couldn't justify the price.

Got it yesterday, shot the first waveform tonight on my truck

There's definitely a learning curve. I'll be making some different probes in the next few weeks. This should keep me outta trouble for a while.

Snapon guy got these long 1/4 in ratchets and if you traded any 14 ratchet you got 30$ off. Traded in a locked up pos harbor freight that I maybe paid 6-7 dollars for.

Pictured SOXRRM710 revised version of the SOEXRM710 10 piece reversible metric set, traded in the set I got back in April. Also pictured is the FHX80A 3/8 Locking Flex Head w/ comfort grip, not sure what the difference is from the original FHX80 that seems to have disappeared into the nether. And lastly I got a BDGEC7 Blue Point end cutters.

Part of the "starter kit" supplied by my job for new apprentices. Also they give a 413pc craftsman set. It was like Christmas!

Thanks to someone on here posting a link to the eBay shop I got a hold of 3 Jorgensen clamps, two 36" versions and one 6"! All for the cheap price of £26 and they arrived the next day! These have an incredible clamping force!

Have you tried it on misfires or anything like that yet?
Not yet. The amount of "tests" the unit walks you though really shows its versatility.(alternator bearings to differentials to bad cats). Here's a picture I snapped from my phone this morning of a diesel engine running. uploadfromtaptalk1474499941734.jpg

My Snappy Man tried to interest me on one of those and asked me what I thought it was worth how much I'd pay. I said "I'd buy it if it where a couple hundred, but it's got to be at least 600 so...." then he told me the list price :eyecrazy: ......I hope you didn't pay that!:lol_hitti

Let us know how you use it.....I'm kinda wondering how well it will help more than just using a laser temp gun.

My driver always asks me what I am willing to pay, when I tell him, he usually says OK, but per week. :eyecrazy:

I wonder how they hold up compared to the old version. I would be interested in the standard version. Part number on the set? I love my set currently, as the Snap On ones are much longer than any other brand, although i break a 9/16" wrench (the gear) about once a month.

Those revised wrenches are long overdue. That's how they should of designed them in the first place with the price tag they carry.

Going to dump my "old" set before the flood.
