Those sockets look ****! Lol

These are all tools that I picked up since the beginning of December.

f77eb913fa912c44578134b0ef20f75b.jpg

The craftsman sockets were on clearance for 10 bucks (is missing 19mm) and I honestly just needed the 10mm for work but hey. Can't beat that price. And I am excited to use the tekton impact sockets this weekend. I bought an emergency 36mm impact socket from em once. And they won over a loyal customer with that.

13f8bf674014308efc7a7bfeeff3eab7.jpg

The craftsman rolling stool I bought on clearance as well for 10 bucks. My local Sears still has about 5 left in stock and I am thinking of possibly getting 2 more. I am 218lbs and it feels good.

c54e70c08d3516055e3bba9369b19a78.jpg

The fluke was 139 on Amazon I can and after using my craftsman / extech multimeter for these past 2 years. The fluke blows em out of the water. Readings are more snappy and so consistent. I barely got the Innova along with the tekton sockets. However the Innova I have used and it's funny because it says it can't read 2014 370z abs / srs codes, yet it read the only 1 srs code I had and managed to clear it. And when I was at Sears to pick up my order I picked up a compact battery for my impact wrench along with it. Not much to say about it.

Last but not least, I got a 10mm flank drive snap on wrench and I honestly thought the whole "flank drive" was going to be pointless but after using it at work to take off some bolts from old fixtures. I am ******* impressed. It grips em so well. And the ball peen hammer and impact driver were free with the points I had after buying a blendtec from Sears. Haven't used the impact driver but the ball peen works and feels good.

I know we post a lot of mechanic tools on this thread, but I just got in some nifty electronics tools I thought I'd share. I needed an ESR tester (for testing capacitors) and I was recommended this little Chinese wonder. It tests many types of electronic components, transistors, capacitors, resistors, FETs, etc. You just put the component in the ZIF socket, and it identifies it and tests it automatically:

I do a lot of work on LCD TVs, and one thing that can be a constant frustration is ordering parts to fix a TV, and when the TV comes on, you'll see a defect in the screen (pixel line, small crack, etc) that makes the TV worthless. A friend on another forum tipped me off to this tester. It's a universal LCD panel tester. It can put a test pattern on an LCD panel by injecting a signal right to the TCON board, basically bypassing all the TVs broken electronics, so you can see if the screen is good before you waste time and money fixing it. It comes with the tester, and a bunch of different cables for connecting to different LCD panels, and a backlight inverter to power the CCFL backlight. It supposedly works on screens as small as 7", all the way up to 84". I just got it, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet:

The component tester is here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/371707575581

NOTE: there are cheaper versions of this tester with a monochrome screen, and I did buy one of those first. But it was shipped in a padded envelope and the screen was shattered on arrival. I got a refund and went with this one for $10 more bucks, plus it was closer so I thought it might fare better in the mail. They actually shipped it in a box, so it survived ;)

Now that is tempting at $30. Sometimes do small repairs on control boards if we find a bad diode or cap, and don't want to take the extra time to send it off to Flight Systems. I doubt I'd use it much, but that seems less clunky than testing with a Fluke.

Got to work yesterday and a fellow I work for part time called me. Dropped by his shop and he had this snap on box for me for Christmas. Had no idea it was coming, I was going to be happy with some Christmas cookies, but this is a bit better.

Anyone have a ballpark idea when this was manufactured? KRA4107 and KRA4114. I can't find any pics online of these boxes in yellow or with the Snap On motocross decals.

The Scrooge in me has a message for you.

You ****!
Thank you! Might be my first 'you ****'!
Does he **** for tagging a china box with Snap-On tags ????
Nope, it's a real snappy, made in Canada, has the model and serial tags on the back, and originally came from the same snappy dealer I have (he dropped by yesterday and is getting me new keys / locks for it, pretty sure he knew I was getting the box long before I did).

Snap on 96acf needle nose, use these at work, liked them so much had to get myself some off of eBay, brand new for less than half of truck price!

Picked up the 17mm snap-on Allen wrench for $2.00, and the 1-1/16" wrightgrip for $10.00.

I'm liking this wrightgrip so much I think I'll get a set!

Can anyone tell me any information about this Duro-Chrome ratchet? It turns but pretty roughly. Found it at an antique mall for $2.00 so figured why not! I'd like to know when it was made.

Merry Christmas to me, from me. I already have five M18 batteries, so this was a no-brainer. We have several acres, and things always seem to need wrenching a looonnnggg way from the air compressor. Problem solved.

I have the Makita version and I use it all the time. You'll begin to wonder how you ever got by without it.

I have older SO NiCad impacts. Just recently went to MW for drill etc. Likely going to buy the impact.

Please share your experiences with it.

Needed a 12mm flare foot for a dist block on an expedition. I will continue to only buy these things as I need them as I can't fathom the price of buying a whole set at once.

Snap on nicad impacts are a joke compared to these new ones. I sold all of mine and went to Milwaukee. My 2763 took a LS2 crank bolt out no problem just to give you an idea how strong they are

I converted all of my connectors over to those HF high flows (7 pkgs) a few months ago and thought I would be happy with them. Half of them leak air, and I honestly can't tell much, if any difference over my standard 3/8 fittings. Plus they are heavy and often hard to connect. I'm thinking of switching back to my old ones by using two different air lines and just use the high flows where they might (?) do the most good! Better quality brands are just way too expensive! Home Depot has their Husky branded aluminum set that I also thought I might give a try. $15 for similar 4 pc set.
