smoking deal for some mayhew bars!!!
There's no paint on them, that's just a simple black oxide coating for appearance and minor corrosion protection purposes. It will really only help to prevent rust if you keep the shafts coated in a thin layer of grease, oil, wax, etc. That's why the factory puts a light oil coating on the shafts before sending the bars out in retail packaging. The factory oily coating is very thin weight oil though, so it eventually disappears and you need to put on something a little better and longer lasting yourself.
They are top notch. The design is nice and there aint a flaw on any of em. The satin finish is smooth and the lengths are good. Now I gotta find an SAE set from somebody.Woody, whatta ya think about those Toptul wrenches. I luv mine and one of these days I plan on expanding the collection.
Lol, reread my original post, got em from dnshmidtYou know that dnschmidt here sells Toptul right?. If not give Dennis a call he's a good dude.

I got the other set they had out a couple months earlier - 8 piece set, IIRC. I'm pretty sure you'll like 'em. The new design is definitely beefier and nicer to work with than the old ones.
Let me know how you like the astro press, I'm torn between ordering that or just sucking it up and ordering the OTC.
picked this stuff up within the last couple weeks.
Gearwrench 1/4" set, also bought the semi deeps in metric and SAE (still waiting for them), set included a 120XP ratchet and palm ratchet
Ratchet is first one in the small ratchet row.

also picked these up on sale at the local canadian tire. Mastercraft long polished wrenches, $25 a set, regular $100.
also picked up the larger Mastercraft (Canadian Tire) screwdriver set.

Wow OCD, you're Snap On guy was doing the happy dance when you got off the truck! Nice stuff, how does the Snap On plasma cutter compare to the Miller and Esab, or does one of them make it for Snap On?
just about everyone but me has one of these at work, they love it if you put a boot on it, take the muffler out and keep it oiled. they use and abuse theres
You'll love that impact!
