I needed a new impact so I'm gonna try out this Nitrocat 1200K. Reviews seem to praise it though. Got it with a warranty for under $200.

We use that one and the 3/8 composite and 3/4 composite Nitro cats at work on our rubbish trucks and they are awesome 2-3 years old and going strong. The 3/8 get used daily and does almost everything we used do with a 1/2 impact.

I'm hoping this'll serve me as well as y'all's have served y'all.

Been beating on mine for a couple years now. Love it. The amateurs around the shop question it's power because it's quiet. So after they try every other gun in the shop they come back to the nitrocat. it builds power as it hits, haven't met much it won't do. Even got a couple lugs off the big toe truck before I got tired of it bearing up my half to 3/4 adapter.

I have that kit. I am very pleased with it and it has served me well. Do yourself a favor though, keep the threads on the nose part there well lubed. Mine have gotten a little funky.

Thanks for the heads up. I used it a couple times tonight and noticed the threads were wearing a little more than I thought they should have been. Easier to get the tool off after, also.

Is that what I think it is???? Is that an 18" flex head? I've been waiting years for that.

No, sorry. It's the 1/4", about 11" long.

I would love a 16-18" 3/8" flex head. That would be the cats meow! I don't know if they make one or not. I could buy snap-on ratchets till the cows come home and still not have enough, so I tend to only look when I actually feel I need something. Next up is a nice mid length 1/2" flex....

I don't think a locking extension would fit, at least not through the 8mm opening.
Good point, didn't think that one thru. Would still be convenient for a lot of shields and airboxes type stuff.

Damn. I keep hoping. I love my 18" 3/8, bought the first one I saw when they came out. Just wish they would make a flex head that long. I use the current long flex all the time, but not having the mass of a 1/2 to get some reach would be awesome.

This is pretty much all of my new tool arrivals. Still trying to get everything settled in. Much (if not all) of these items were purchased because of people raving or reviewing them on this forum, so thanks! Mainly all Gearwrench with a pinch of Craftsman and some Pittsburgh Pro.

For starters, my two Husky 52 bottoms:

Starting with the left box, these are pretty much the essentials:

And on to the left box. This is where all of the "specialty" tools go:

Still not entirely finished with the purchases, but these should be able to handle anything I can throw at them. I'm very happy with the quality of the tools thus far and only time will tell how they hold up.

What did you pay for it? I would have to think long and hard about that ratchet... it would not match my other ones.

Got the GearWrench 1/2 84 tooth XL ratchet with the free 1/2 extensions off of usatoolwarehouse for $40 shipped. Came in today, only 2 days later. I finally have a long handle 1/2 ratchet with more than 36 teeth.

Grabbed a snappy 11pc punch chisel with holder. $159. Glad I didn't bite on the soft handle set he had a couple months back

UPS dropped these off this morning. Got them on eBay a few days ago for $105. Seemed like a fair price.

My first Astro Pneumatic purchase, an add on to my OTC ball joint press. Also some USA made Craftsman goodies.
