This just arrived, straight from Japan; took nearly 3 weeks to get here but worth the wait.

On sale and wife had over $20 in free Sears bucks or whatever they're called. Spent them before they're worth less than Tanzanian shillings.
Great buy. Your first use it will pay itself off. I've used mine a lot doing engine work.

I always used to use taps. But once again, the wonderful folks at GJ have shown me the light and found a way to spend my money.

I have a large project coming up that this will come in extremely handy for.

I used a tap ONCE and when I got a loose fit I figured there was a reason they made them. I haven't used a tap since for thread cleaning

Bought these last week and they finally arrived. Couldn't pass up the price. Nice finish and seem like they'll be a lifetime set. Trying to slowly outfit my new box. Next will either be combination wrench sets or the 1/2 in gearwrench set. (Sorry bout the stock photo, forgot to take one when I opened them.)2168907d6c0ccbf4651739ca6ad6cffa.jpg

You will love those, at least I know I do mine. Great set for the money.

Look around for the Metric long pattern combo wrenches with the free stubby wrenches. I got mine at Coastal Tool Supply for around $120. Then got the SAE long patterns on ebay for ~$100.

Replaced my poor non fuel Milwaukee drill with this, 3/8 stainless was a strain on it, tried this and it's a much better fit

A few new tools from this week.

Cromwell guy came back from a show and had a ton of good deals on Milwaukee and other tools. Picked up this astro light. c6595dd64eadae18dd3e377fbb076bca.jpg1a2f8ee79fa5254d2161f20b59f844ed.jpg

Snap on had a deal going on where you bought the chrome swivels and got a free 1/4 inch ratchet. Talked him into upgrading it to a soft grip roto head ratchet. He did not have it in stock so next week! e4842b00e09dac0eff5c316a2f1d2e33.jpg

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't decided yet on what I want to go with. I know gearwrench is good stuff and I like their wrenches, just trying to decide if I want to buy sunex/ tekton or save for the gearwrench sets. I do know I'm gonna be buying the flexhead ratcheting boxend sets the make.

I was in Kansas City today, had the opportunity to stop by Harry Epstein.

Only bought the one tool I absolutely needed, a Wright 3430 3/8 Drive Compact ratchet

Not a tool, but had this dropped off. My 41" double-stack Hammerhead (old Costco offering) toolbox has been overflowing and I had outgrown my old Kobalt "workbench". I'll be working on re-organizing all weekend. My biggest issue will be figuring out what to put in the Husky box and what to keep in my double-stack. I debated between this and the 60" Milwaukee, but ultimately this one won out as I don't need the pegboard and I really liked the full-length top drawer and 24" depth.

Best stud finder I've ever used. It hangs on the wall when it finds a hidden nail or screw.

Not a lot of pictures but I got my promo Milwaukee Sawzall, 3 (1/2,3/8,1/4) Armstrong 88T Ratchets, and a HF 20T press. Plus 6 F-clamps on the way from eBay (found them for just over $50 shipped, couldn't resist when the chinesium ones are $15+ in store). Once I get back for summer from school I think I'll rock out a brake for the press, should be very handy. Cleaner than a vise and a hammer

Second set from the right, Proto metric ratchet wrenches, just showed up to match my sae set.
When I first bought the sae set last year I was bummed to see they were from Taiwan, but I ended up really liking those wrenches, so I had to get the metric set to match.
25% coupon from Zoro was the best price I could find for them. Think I had a 30% for the sae set last year.

I went a little crazy with clamps. They were all great deals and I will certainly use them, these are from Cripe, eBay, and Zoro. I bought the Freud forstner bits to build a clamp rack.

Couldn't stand my worn out Craftsman any more. The $339 coupon didn't hurt either

nice buncha clamps there. thing about clamps...you ALWAYS need one more than you have.

miss my collection of 36" Besseys, even though I'm not doing fab work anymore.
