Few things from Zoro. The biggest sets SK sells in 1/2" metric to replace my crappy CMan/Armstrong, 10mm SK ratcheting wrench to play with, and a bronze hammer.

Realized I had enough new sockets to go full tool nerd

No, they make axes, picks, mauls and other handled tools. Good quality for the most part especially if you find old USA made models or the new USA models. They do manufacture items in Mexico as well.

After finding a couple of Duralast reversable ratcheting wrenches, I decided as best I can tell, these are just re-badged Gearwrech, which are fairly decent. So I decided to just buy a set since they were only $50.00.

The set is a 7 piece set, so there are skips. Sizes 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18

Weird that they skip 17 and give you an 18, but its no big deal since I have 16, 17, 18, 19 in Proto's.

So I figure since I have good US made non ratcheting combination wrenches to back them up, why the heck not.

Also got a high visibility Snap On ratcheting screwdriver because I'm afraid I'm going to lose my black one by just not seeing it one of these days.

Comes in really handy installing mud flaps without removing tires,with the hex ended drill bits,has an endless opportunity to get tricky jobs done.

So on the Astro sockets, are they like a normal socket or do you have to pound them on so they bite in? My Irwin sockets **** unless I pound them on and even then they still **** a little. Another question would be, do you think you need both metric and SAE or could they overlap each other? I think the irwin sockets have a range that covers both SAE and metric.

They are pretty cool, but only work on right-handed (standard) fasteners. When loosening they bite into the flanks and when tightening they work normal. Because of that, I don't think they would cross over all that well.

Like most of Astro's stuff, I would imagine it's basically free replacement. Comparing them would be hard. These ones aren't for everyday use, as they are for damaged hex fasteners. They more or less bite into the fasteners the harder you turn them.

Some new ratchets. Picked up a spare SK 3/8" that will go in my portable kit. $14.00 shipped. The guts were a little ugly when it took it apart, but it was just old crusty oil; cleaned up very nice.

Williams 1/4" ratchet. Had a little surface rust on the black oxide parts that cleaned up very nicely...$5.00.

Since everyone likes the HF flex head, I caught one on sale with a 20% cupon; $21.00.
