And I used the bolt cutter yesterday to make this bin rack out of wire shelving:

Got these in the mail today. 11 piece nos USA made Blackhawk 1/2 inch drive deepwells 1/2" - 1 1/8". Picked up the 6 point set for a coworker and the 12 point for myself. Can't beat them for $20.99 and $21.99 with free shipping from ebay

How does the ratcheting feels lets say compared to Snap-on or PB Swiss?

They feel very similar to Snap-On as I have a Snap-On but unfortunately I do not have a BP Swiss for comparison. Very smooth and precise action on the ratcheting mechanism. I did experience a lock-up while using it the other day, so I am not sure if my fingers/hand slipped and it hit the selector or not but..... time will tell. So far I like the ergonomics of the handle and the versatility of just using it as a stubby.

My old Shop Vac from 10 yrs ago finally kicked the dust so I picked a new one up from Lowe's. Had a lot of nice features, and was lower, so it'd fit underneath my workbench easier. High ratings as well and a much nicer hose than my old one had.

Just from the unboxing and assembly it seems like a well thoughtout vac. The wheels roll really smooth and nice (opposite of my old one), and it's got good suction too. We'll see once I start using it more in the shop.

Here is what i got today. 4 Plier rack, Makita angle grinder and some Discs. 1/4" sockets in 5/8" size, not easy to find. I will put them in my 1/4" Hansen socket tray. And some other stuff

In the store they where only in red or black. I got them from a store in Thailand. They also have a lot of Snap-on and Blue point tools and tool boxxes.

Tekton Phillips Screwdrivers set: Price is great, seems to be of good USA Made quality, but I don't necessarily enjoy the tri-lobe "futuristic" design (hand shape has not changed much during the last 200,000 years).

It's a keeper, but it won't steer me clear of the Proto Duratek (four-lobular beats tri-lobular any day)

Hmmmm, I might have to try those. I LOVE my Popular Mechanics screwdrivers (USA made from Wal-Mart in the 90s) because of the triangular shape of the handle. The PM drivers are a hard straight sided handle though, not the "weird" Euro profile like these Tektons. Interesting combo, has the opportunity to be even better in my hand....

While at the track last week end, I found out a need a few more wrenches, basically some doubles. Since they are for the enclosed trailer tool box, I didn't want to spend big money and spotted these at Menard's. They're also ratcheting so they might be handy at times.



The bins will get cut down for organizers in the same tool box.

Stocking up little by little.

None of this stuff is Snap-On, but it's decent enough, and you can't beat the prices.

Kiwi pliers are spring loaded. Been wanting double jointed needle nose for a while, and need to start using a torque wrench. Stubby ratchet should help avoid snapping small fasteners, and I have a strange feeling that the Tekton composite ratchet is actually going to become one of my most used for general nuts and bots. LOL
