Starting a new job and need to duplicate my tools. I got a good start this week. All these are going to work and my existing duplicates will stay home.

A set of 12v Hilti cordless tools. I was going to buy some more Makita for the sake of battery interchangeability, but I got this set for $150 from a guy who bought it and shortly thereafter decided he wanted something different I guess.

I also got some proper knipex snap ring pliers to replace the cheapos that keep bending tips. Also grabbed some new he keys.

And to top it off I scored a new Fluke 87v for $240 with a similar story to the Hilti set. I haven't got that yet but it is in the mail.

Interesting, hammer appears to be a Nupla but branded SK, with Nupla paperwork inside the case. You will like it, Nupla makes excellent hammers.

Interesting that I just now heard of them and they are 20 minutes from where I live, Always learning! Thanks for sharing and I see that Home Depot carries Nupla.

Arrived yesterday...19 piece Proto yellow handle set, Chapman 6810 and Free Eagle pick set. Still trying to decide if I like the Proto's over my square handle Williams drivers (identical to discontinued Snap On's).

Give those acetate handles a few years to start stinking up the joint then you'll like the Williams:lol_hitti

How are the blades on the Protos I have never used one of their screwdrivers.

Mine arrived too... so I will borrow your picture...

There is a LAME **** sticky label on the front that says SK... with a nice embossed into the plastic NUPLA tools logo underneath.

Man these SK(Nupla) dead blows seem to be a hot item right now. What are you all using them for?

These new Nupla hammers are probably going to be my new go to most of the time.

I use hammers like this to persuade things into place... or to lightly adjust things. Not sure I will get a lot of use out of the brass tip but hey... wish it was stainless... If I got a stainless... I would wish I had a brass...

I have larger (medium) sized dead blows I use for stone work...

I currently have 3 similar hammers to these Nuplas and two of them are in SAD shape so ... they may end up in a garage sale. I have a craftsman replaceable tip hammer with the tips all gnarled ... those will be the first to go.

The blades are comparable to the Williams drivers, but finish is not as smooth. Also, philips drivers don't have the small teeth that are present on Williams. There is a slight off putting smell to them...will have to see how bad it gets over time.

My new 3/8" socket set, in my new box:

2a5cea5adb3f5f1e11d6db73cff3653c.jpg

A bunch of other pictures in my "My first pro tools" thread, but aren't they beautiful?

I kept breaking sockets and ratchets, even good ones; my last set was Williams/Kobalt USA, and I've broken several pieces of it (and lost a couple of more).

2 more drawers to fill up :)

Cant speak to the old style yellow handled Proto Screwdrivers, But I have the newer Proto Duratek screwdrivers. The blades are very durable, I don't see them deform like I have with my Felos despite heavy use. Handle is nice on them too. Wouldn't touch the vomit acetate handles though!

I definitely like my Vessel screwdrivers the most, they just really bite. Even my G/f was like wow, this is quite the screwdriver when she borrowed one to assemble some random thing she'd bought. My pb swiss are also nice. G/f isn't allowed to touch those though.

First new snap on pliers I've bought. The vinyl handle on the small combination plier binds when you put it in the second notch so I'll probably have to trim it back a bit.

Yay first post! Hi to everyone from a new CT member.:) Most of my tool collection was inherited from my Grandfather and Father. Have a bunch of SK, Penens, Roadrunner, Plomb and Proto and of course Craftsman Fun collecting them, even more fun using them, and some super info here!

My most recent purchase. An SK 35 inch 3/8 drive extension bar. Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet. May come in handy changing the rear spark plugs on my Triton V8. If they don't snap in half by looking at them first. LOL

I own a Nupla pry bar. It's the first pry bar I've ever owned, that lasted over a year, prying mini boulders from my rocky New England yard. Great quality.

Didn't really need either, but I had a $200 gift card burning a hole in my pocket and it was set to expire on 8/31 so why not. Wish the hose on the vac was longer but it actually does a pretty decent job.

Don't get to post in this thread often, seeing as I buy most of my stuff used, but once in a while.... :)

Went to Home Depot yesterday to pickup a Dremel 4000 kit that had been discounted to 99$ and then to 59$ the next day, and also ended up with a new Milwaukee Drill + Impact driver. This is the older (non-brushless) models, and they had recently had received a reduced price of 228$ vs 320$(I think). Was looking around and spotted 2 boxes like this one here, that included a 3rd free battery on top of that. Once I had it scanned to make sure it was the same price, it came home with me.

My cheap Dremel ended up being quite expensive but the Milwaukee's will end up being a nice replacement to my B&D Matrix that was getting beaten down lately. Now to make sure my Father in Law doesn't start throwing these around like he normally does.

Alright. I tried this a few days ago, but apparently Imgur isn't the best option around here. Here goes a crack with a GJ album.

I'm getting started in the automotive industry, and I've been in a shop for about two weeks. Don't worry about my weekly payment, I sold a car to pay for all the tools I'd have to upgrade

Also, sorry about the rotated images. Imgur has spoiled me.

Dodge610 Where did you find the Mitutoyo Caliper so cheap???
Pawn shop, my friend. I've found quite a few great deals there, most notably a Snap-on 1/2" drive TechAngle for $120. Less than 1000 cycles on it, original documentation as well.

When I was running around looking for parts to extract my spark plug I happened into Walmart. Been wanting to get a small cheap tool kit to keep behind the bench in the truck. Last week they had this marked $179. Today it was in the clearance isle for $50. I doubt it's stellar quality but it was cheap and it will fit behind the seat easily.
