Alright. I tried this a few days ago, but apparently Imgur isn't the best option around here. Here goes a crack with a GJ album.

I'm getting started in the automotive industry, and I've been in a shop for about two weeks. Don't worry about my weekly payment, I sold a car to pay for all the tools I'd have to upgrade

Also, sorry about the rotated images. Imgur has spoiled me.

I'm picking up the box in a few weeks. I can't wait!

Inquiring minds would like to know what did the Snap-On tool box cost you ? No problem if you don't want to share. I know they can be pricy and people will always tell you that you spent to much. As I say, if it was worth it to you, then to hell with every one else. LOL !!!

My most recent purchase. An SK 35 inch 3/8 drive extension bar. Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet. May come in handy changing the rear spark plugs on my Triton V8. If they don't snap in half by looking at them first. LOL
View media item 73219Anyway happy to be here and hope to contribute.

I have a Snap-on 36" that did a great job on the bell housing on a Dodge Ram 50 pick up.

They are great for bell housing bolts with a swivel socket. Only way to do it in my opinion. That is about the only thing I usey snap 36 3/8 for.

I paid $1500; it's a KRA2422. They list for about $5300, and you can pick them up used pretty regularly for about $2.5-3k. The way I see it, I was about to spend $1000 on a Craftsman Pro box that I was expecting to get about three years of use from, with no real equity on the other end. By spending $500 more up front, I have a larger, higher quality box; guaranteed replacement part availability through my dealer; and a decent trade in value in a few years time.

You did well. The green KRA box you posted is a nice box and worth every bit of the $1500. In fact if you take good care of it you could probably sell it or trade it in with no loss when you outgrow it......and you will most likely outgrow it.

I was wondering if anybody made a cordless vacuum; now I know.

Dewalt has had one forever. I have the newest one that takes both 18v NiCad and 20V Li batteries and has a cord as well. I use it for vacuuming the cars, great for that. I can now vacuum a vehicle in less time than it used to take to go to the garage, get the extension cord, plug it in, run it, plug the vac in, trip over the cord twice, drag it across the paint, and put it away again.

Here's my haul. I'm quite fond of the Interapid indicator and slightly disappointed in the Mitutoyo calipers. The bezel lock and slide strap are plastic. The previous model were stainless steel.02b76a5338757bcb6085da09b9e75ac7.jpg120e71587c2ac005cca3bec382e26024.jpg

If you ordered from snappy bet that was a pretty penny

Nice haul! Welcome to the forums; you've made quite an entrance :D
From the website. Been here a long while, Just looking at everyones setup.

It was a few dollars, and will be awhile before I get more I'm sure (except for part 2 of my order xmas). I have tools from HF to snappy. I wish I had all snappy they they are just too rich for a full box that's for sure. Also been lusting for an epiq box, but not looking for a car payment for a box!

Nice setup - any info on those blue socket trays - I'm assuming they are Hansen, but have never seen them in blue.

Hello, I find the post interesting and believe my topic fits quite well. I wanted to ask how you store your tools in the car. I have in my Peugeot Boxer only boxes, which I find, however, too confusing. I had thought about installing shelves (they should look something like this: http://www.sortimo.ie/vehicle-solutions/van-racking-solutions/sortimo-hd/). Does anyone know with such shelves? Or do you have other solutions? Thanks for your help! :)

Nice setup... I still use my 90's crafty sockets... They work great with snap on ratchets.....

I used my older craftsman today! I like the old USA stuff. Harder to find, so I'm glad I own some.

They are some old hansen's I think. I've had them for a long while, they are just like the red ones I just picked up. Finally got SAE sockets just to complete the set so needed the red ones. Never really needed the SAE except for the few odds that I owned prior.

Picked this up from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Chicago Pnumatic 860ES. 24k RPM and .54 HP with 1/4 inch collet. Now I need to get some burs and a junk aluminum intake manifold to practice porting. Plan on using is to port match a Trickflow Box R lower to the TFS 205 11R heads on my 347. 2a1ab8e4f0745a56285d68c477698705.jpg

I've wanted a bench tester for a while and at that price that's crazy... how is it? Almost seems too cheap/good to be true type deal and then I would end up frying ****...lol

-Nigel
I too would like to hear your thoughts on that bench tester? $40 seems too good!?

I wanted to get something from Armstrong now that they are going the way of KD. I spent long days working on my Bradley with Armstrong or KD tools so I bought a couple wrenches and some sockets from Cripe's to round out a set of cheap Chinese made ratcheting Craftsman wrenches.

You can really see the difference between the Chinese lobster-claw style and the Armstrong when comparing two 13mm wrenches.

Now I want a complete set! Thanks for giving me the tool-bug GJ!

i read a few reviews and watched some videos before deciding to buy this.

for $40 i was willing to take a chance, i'm glad i did.

i really like how the voltage is variable, and with the right adapter plugs i can rule out the power supply as being the reason why something will not power on
